Vintage Paris

I love everything that has the Eiffel Tower on it! It’s just so majestic and such a beautiful focal point! I have already made 2 cards with the Parisian Blossoms suite and I have several more ready to go! (once I can sit still-ha!)

This card was for my monthly stampers club! We started by stamping the script words with Crumb Cake on to Crumb cake paper. (we did stamp off the full strength first on to our grid paper). Next, we used the Parisian Flourish 3-D folder (151474, page 15 in the Mini Catalog) to create the gorgeous background! To make it have a more vintage feel, we used a sponge to rub across the raised areas.

Next we added some 3/8″ Scalloped Lace trim to create some softness to our vintage card. We then ran some Basic Gray for the Eiffel Tower, Blushing Bride for the blossom, and some Silver Foil for the word through the die cutting machine. A pearl was the final touch! What do you think?

Vintage Versailles

What a fun a crazy two weeks it has been! We loved visiting our family in upstate NY, but our travels home were challenging. Hubby woke up the morning of our flight and had severe back pain-shaking almost. I took him to the ER up there and it was a kidney stone. We got him some relief and got back a day later. He had another trip to our ER with 2 more! He has seen the specialist and had more scans….we think we are good!

I finally got to play with this gorgeous stamp set!!! I love vintage cards/creations, so this was on my first wish list! I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class and deceided to use it for club too!

The Woven Threads Trim is Devine! I used my Paper Snips to cut the bottom strings and pulled them off to create this fun fringe effect! I used Crumb Cake to stamp the verse in the background and Mossy Meadow for the leaves. I then stamped the scroll with Soft Suede. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the Woven Threads to the card and positioned it almost center the scroll. I distressed the Very Vanilla base and the sentiment with Crumb Cake. I used a die from the Perfect Parcel dies.

Vintage Daisy Lane

My creative mojo was definitely flowing when I made this card! When I looked at what I had in my basket after I was done, I realized that I had made one of those $100 cards! LOL!

I used 4 punches, 2 stamp sets, a die, linen thread, epoxy gem, and cardstock. Now, I had a great tip from a fellow demonstrator on how to build your “sandwich” with your die cutting machine to help cut out all those little dots on the lace!

You will need your die cutting machine, multipurpose platform (that has tabs), precision plate, 1 clear standard pad, wax paper, lint roller, and die brush.

  1. Place one piece of wax paper onto the precision plate (which is on top of the multipurpose plate on tab 2).
  2. Then place your paper on top of the wax paper at an angle.
  3. Place a second sheet of wax paper on top of the paper.
  4. Place your Stitched Lace die on top of the wax/paper at and angle. (this helps keep the die from warping)
  5. Run it through the die cutting machine once for Whisper White and twice for other cardstock/thicker DSP)
  6. Use a lint roller to remove the small pieces.
  7. For the stubborn last few pieces, you can use the die brush to coax them out!

Works like a charm each time! My club girls have had no problems!!!

Use a Stampin’ Blend marker to color your Clear Epoxy Gems!!!

Black Ice Technique

watermarked1(2018-09-07-1302)

Every month I hold stamp club where the girls get to make 3 projects, with one card that is a technique.  I was blessed to have completed all my techniques for the rest of this year!  This month I found this awesome and popular Black Ice technique!

It’s so simple to make too!  Just follow the instructions below:

  1. Stamp your image onto Silver Foil paper with StazOn Black.
  2. Take the StazOn and then drag up and down, and side to side. You just want some random streaks of black. The StazOn works best to prevent smearing.
  3. Let it dry for a minute or two.  Then take VersaMark and drag up and down & side to side.
  4. Sprinkle Clear Embossing Powder on the whole thing and tap off excess.
  5. Heat set the whole piece.  It takes a little longer than the metallic embossing powders.  The image will appear very crisp and deep black.  Plus the Silver will really pop!

We used the hostess set Very Vintage for this card.  We randomly stamped the vintage doily with Smoky Slate for a background.  Then we ran the Basic Gray piece through the Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  Finished it with a sentiment and some ribbon in the back.
