Impressed by Abstract Impressions

final-14

I finally was able to play with some of my new goodies at our retreat a couple weeks ago!  This card was one of the 3 projects our stamp club made!  If features a new color, Soft Sea Foam, as well as Abstract Impressions stamp set!  It makes the most beautiful floral cards!  The DSP is from the new Garden Impressions 6×6 pack, which coordinates with the Metallic Ribbon Combo.  The combo has the new Shaded Spruce color and Petal Pink that both have glimmer weaved in each.

Did you notice the stitching?  It came from the new Stitched Labels Framelits!!  There are so many fun shapes that include stitching that add that special texture to your creations!  final-15

I love the deep, rich color of the Shaded Spruce and Blueberry Bushel!  The color on the pad case just doesn’t do it justice!  The flowers were made with 3 colors: first was Blushing Bride, then Calypso Coral, and lastly, Melon Mambo.   I did finish it off with some Wink of Stella!

June also marks the Creative Class To Go’s return!!  I am almost done typing it up and it’s a great set of cards!  It features the new Lily Pad Lake bundle!  Look out for details on how to get your FREE card kit June 1st!

Love What You Do-always!

final-13

Wow, it’s been a little bit since I posted!  Life has been a little hectic lately!  But I am at my craft retreat recharging my creative mojo!  I made this card for my All Occasion Stamp a Stack of cards last month!  It features items that you can buy as a sneak peek bundle this month!  (details to follow!)

Grapefruit Grove is my favorite new In Color for this year!!  It mixes so well with the Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss! (soooo happy these colors are back) There are two stamps that can be used to fill your flower blooms in this set.  I used the smaller one and stamped one at full strength and then followed with a stamped off image.  I added some Wink of Stella too!

I used the Mint Macaron for color on color to create more depth.  Then I added a small strip of Blackberry Bliss with some Linen Thread for more texture and grounding. To create the border on the Love What You Do DSP, I used the Decorative Ribbon Border punch and turned it to the scalloped side for a subtle accent.

If you would like to order a bundle for the Share What You Love, you can visit my Stampin’ Up Website and order today!  Use the hostess code AKBCENU7 at check out!  You will be rewarded with a gift from me (mailed separate) for ordering through my site! Sweet Tulips

I will truly miss the Tranquil Tulips hostess set!! It was a popular set with my girls this past year! The two step Stampin makes the final product so realistic! I made this card for one of my SWAPS for On Stage the other week.  I loved it so much that I am using it for the Sweet & Simple cards too!

Sahara Sand paired with the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder created that Greige color that is so popular right now!  I stamped off the more solid petal and full strength with the detailed part of the petals.  There is Wink of Stella on the pistils too!

Be sure to stock up on your favorite colors while they last!  There are several DSP packs that are SOLD OUT!  Delightful Daisy, Coffee Break, Petal Garden, A Whole Lot of Lovely, Fast Fuse refill/full; Pansy Punch, and Fluttering Embossing Folder!

And I added links to the retired list for both the Occasions Catalog and the Annual Catalog 2017-2018!  You can have it shipped to you even if you are not local to me!

Here is the April Hostess Code B9SXQTFB!  Happy Stampin’!

Petal Soft & FREE card kit

XABU9988

I made a very similar card for a dear friend’s wedding.  I loved it so much that I re-made it for a club card for this month!  The Petal Palette stamp set and matching Petals & More Thinlits have been a favorite this past month!

I first stamped the leaf bunch with Pool Party on Pool Party card stock.  I did stamp off on one of the layers to give it a more subtle feel.  Next, I cut out the ornate accent with Silver Foil and layered half of a Doily underneath.  I tussled some Silver Bakers twine behind the flowers after using dimensionals to pop it up.  Look how ornate and elegant the Stampin’ Blends make the colors on the bouquet!  Of course I added Wink of Stella Clear to the flowers!

The Garden Trellis embossing folder was used for more texture behind the flowers.  It was finished off with a sentiment from the Petal Pallet set cut out with the thinlit included.

I just finished the last card for the FREE Creative Class to Go kit!  What is that?  You order the bundle on my website using this month’s hostess code.  Then, Stampin’ Up! send the stamp bundle to you directly.  If you are local-just pick up the cute case that contains your consumable products to make 6 cards!  (3 designs-2 of each).

Pig in a Barn

BDFA5651

This pig in a barn card turned out soooo cute!  It’s also a card that will be featured in my FREE Creative Class to Go this month!  But first, the card!!

I used the Pink Pirouette marker to color the piggy.  I then used Cherry Cobbler for the barn and barn door.  The door is color on color-the ink is the same color as the cardstock!

HBQJ1025 I love the sliders you can cut out with the Big Shot!!

Heartfelt Thanks

MUIW9720 (1)

I love a FREE stamp set, don’t you?  The Heartfelt Blooms is one of the many choices that are in this year’s Sale-a-bration catalog!  I just love the details in the image!  I tried it with black, but I really enjoyed how the Smoky Slate ink turned out!  This is for my Sweet & Simple class tonight!

Did you notice the cute dry embossed image?  It’s part of the Petal Passion suite on page 22-23 of the Occasions catalog!  It is a smaller embossing folder and it has 2 in the Petal Pair package!

HAUZ0017 (1)

I wanted to add ribbon, but really didn’t want to distract away from the main statement image.  I just used the Layering Ovals to cut out the Thank You that also is part of the Heartfelt Blooms set!

Pretty Copper Pumpkin

Pick a pumpkin 2

Pick a Pumpkin is an adorable bundle to create all your fall cards!  It even has jack o’ lantern faces for Halloween projects! I didn’t realize how much could be made using this set!  The Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits really spoke to me!  I immediately thought of using Copper Foil with the lined pumpkin!  Look how cute it is!

I don’t mind fussy cutting items out, but I love it when there are coordinating dies that make these cards a snap!  I highly recommend investing in the Magnetic Plate for the Big Shot!  It really helps keep the dies in place and is a sanity saver!

I used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder to create the texture on the Early Espresso piece.  I used a variety of cut out shapes with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry to make it feel like fall!  My Stitched Shapes Framelits are my go to for sentiments.  I love the extra detail that it adds to your card! Pick a Pumpkin

I topped it off with a little Wink of Stella and some linen thread! I love how it turned out!  This could also be a great masculine card too!
