Sneak Peek of Beauty & Joy

Nothing looks better than a topiary on your porch! This set was so much fun to play with and I see a ton of other ideas to use it for too! It can be used for all seasons! Just change up your color scheme and embellishments and you have a stamp set you can use all year!

This set if from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!!! Do you need one mailed to you!?? I can send one your way! This card also features the new Brick & Mortar 3-D embossing folder as well! To create the aged look on the bricks, I took a Craft White pad and dragged it across the top lightly. I then would rub in any areas that looked too streaked.

Then I used a strip of the 6×6 Regals DSP pack, Cajun Craze, to accent the side. The topiary is stamped with Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, and Cajun Craze. Next, I accented the greenery with Merry Merlot berries and Wink of Stella. It’s all finished with the sentiment of your choice!

The Extra-Extra deal is coming to an end next week! (8/31/19)

For $99-you get to choose $155 in any current catalog (including the holiday)! That is $30 more in product than usual!!! You will have until December 2019 to meet your minimums too! Win win! Click on Laura’s Stampin’ Up! website to sign up now!

Inspired by Carnations

I love flowers-especially carnations! And my husband loves that they are easier on the pocket book! ūüė¨ Seriously-they stay alive so much longer and I can enjoy them!

The Inspiring Iris set was on my “have to have” list! Irises remind me of our childhood house and how they grew along with the daffodils every spring! My mom and I both love purple too! Miss her so much!

I made this card fort Sweet and Simple class. I started with Black Memento Ink and stamped the outline of the flowers. I followed that with Garden Green to fill in the leaves. Then, to create the carnations variation, I stamped with Blushing Bride frost and then rolled the top of the stamp with Rococo Rose. I love the results!

I ran a piece of card stock with the Scripty Embossing folder to tie in the Rocco Rose. Next I added a piece of the Pretty Peacock 1/2″ Scalloped Linen ribbon. It was finished off with Wink of Stella clear! Finally, I added the cute and curved “thanks” sentiment on top of one of the flowers!

Vintage Versailles

What a fun a crazy two weeks it has been! We loved visiting our family in upstate NY, but our travels home were challenging. Hubby woke up the morning of our flight and had severe back pain-shaking almost. I took him to the ER up there and it was a kidney stone. We got him some relief and got back a day later. He had another trip to our ER with 2 more! He has seen the specialist and had more scans….we think we are good!

I finally got to play with this gorgeous stamp set!!! I love vintage cards/creations, so this was on my first wish list! I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class and deceided to use it for club too!

The Woven Threads Trim is Devine! I used my Paper Snips to cut the bottom strings and pulled them off to create this fun fringe effect! I used Crumb Cake to stamp the verse in the background and Mossy Meadow for the leaves. I then stamped the scroll with Soft Suede. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the Woven Threads to the card and positioned it almost center the scroll. I distressed the Very Vanilla base and the sentiment with Crumb Cake. I used a die from the Perfect Parcel dies.

Watercolor Smoosh

I saw Elizabeth Bennett’s¬† beautiful card on our own Demonstrator Planning Place FB page and I had to make one like it! It was our technique for our monthly stamp club too! It’s a bit messy, but it’s so worth it!

You will need the following: Stampin’ Up! Water Color Paper;¬† Ink Refills of your choice (I used Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and Night of Navy); Frost White Shimmer Paint, plastic wrap, paper towels, and a drop cloth/paper. (protection for your craft surface).

First you want to spritz your watercolor paper on both sides to prevent curling. I placed it on a paper towel that was folded up for more protection. Then, I dropped 2-3 of each color & the Frost White Shimmer paint onto the plastic wrap. Next, spritz it with water and place your watercolor paper/towel on top. Carefully flip it over and move the inks around until you like the mix. Let dry overnight and peel off the plastic wrap! They all turned out different and stunning! If you are in a hurry, you can pull up the wrap in a few minutes and heat set with the Heat Tool. But-it won’t have the crisp lines from the plastic wrap.

And now you can stock up on these goodies and earn $5 coupons for every $50 this month! You can use your $5 coupons in August!!! Shop by Clicking on Laura’s Stampin’ Up! Website

AND if you love having a discount on your craft supplies, then this is a great time to sign up too! You get an additional $30 of product to add to the normal $125! That’s $155 worth of any current product (plus business supplies-catalogs for your friends). And they are throwing in a $10 coupon to use in August (which is Holiday Catalog PRE ORDER!!)

And when you order for yourself as a demo, you still get host rewards @ $150 merchandise and the bonus coupons! That’s a lot of savings!

Simply Enjoy Life

final-10

We just had our quarterly team meeting and we love to do a card SWAP!  This was one that I did using the Enjoy Life stamp set!  I love the sentiments and positive affirmations that are included in this set! It has so many possibilities using the stamps a silhouette with a sunset, an action technique with the bike, or just a simple card like this one!

To create this card I stamped Pool Party onto Pool Party cardstock using the new Crackle Paint background stamp! I love this background stamp!¬† Then, I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Embossing Folder to add more texture.¬† Once that was adhered down, I stamped my flower/grass stamp with Early Espresso in the bottom right corner. Next I added the butterflies, the sentiment, and the Braided Linen thread! All done!¬† Oh, wait…..I did Wink the Butterflies!

Filigree Fun

Who loves patterns and pops of color?  This bundle is for you!  Look at this gorgeous Florentine Thinlits Die!  I see so many possibilities with he negative pieces-so I kept them to the side!

To make this card, I ran a piece of Early Espresso through the Big Shot using the Florentine Thinlit die.  A great feature of the coordinating Florentine Filigree stamp set is the patterns are all on one stamp lined up for you!  Place your filigree that you cut out over a piece of Whisper White. Then place them on a block, ink it up, and stamp where the negative spaces are!

img_2840

To make the sentiment stand out I stamped it on a small Gray Granite banner piece.¬† Then I stamped the medallion stamp with Flirty Flamingo on to Whisper White and then again on Costal Cabana with Costal Cabana Ink. (well, I cleaned them in between of course). I used a 2″ and 1 3/4″ circle punch to cut them out.¬† Next, I layered them and used dimensionals to create more depth.

A few pearls to give it a little extra elegance and we are done!

IF YOU WANTED THE GINGHAM RIBBON that was a Saleabration Free item, you are IN Luck!  They got some more in the warehouse-but only while supplies last!
