Ornate Daisy

Adjusting to this new norm is definitely a challenge for all of us. I have been holding on the silver linings in each day. When I go for a walk, I am noticing more people biking, walking, and gardening!  And I LOVE spring-so I am taking a lot of pictures of flowers blooming!  It’s a message from above to keep the faith-renewal and rebirth is coming!  So, stay positive! It’s okay to not be okay too!  Just don’t stay there-let it out and then count your blessings!

If you are like me, you can go create in your craft space and just loose track of time! Stampin’ Up! just released the Ornate Garden Suite for customers to order this month! As a demonstrator, we were able to order it as a pre-order item. It is amazing! The whole suite is worth purchasing, but you can also order ala cart! I have created several items with this already! This one is my favorite so far!

I stamped the single daisy and colored it with a Blender Pen and some ink off of the lid of the ink pads. I did use some Memento Black to shade the daisy for more depth. I love the Night of Navy, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight colors together for daisies!! It just screams spring! I used a proportionate sized border from the Ornate Borders Dies and ran a piece of Night of Navy through die cutting machine. The Ornate Floral 3-D embossing is just gorgeous! I used a piece of Daffodil Delight to make a pop of color behind the daisy. The DSP is from the Painted Poppies pack. I wanted to add some Old Olive and a simple pattern.

I finished this card with a Linen Thread bow, some Wink of Stella Clear, and a small sentiment. I used one of the smaller dies in the Nesting Dies to cut it out.

Please stay safe and healthy!

Vintage Paris

I love everything that has the Eiffel Tower on it! It’s just so majestic and such a beautiful focal point! I have already made 2 cards with the Parisian Blossoms suite and I have several more ready to go! (once I can sit still-ha!)

This card was for my monthly stampers club! We started by stamping the script words with Crumb Cake on to Crumb cake paper. (we did stamp off the full strength first on to our grid paper). Next, we used the Parisian Flourish 3-D folder (151474, page 15 in the Mini Catalog) to create the gorgeous background! To make it have a more vintage feel, we used a sponge to rub across the raised areas.

Next we added some 3/8″ Scalloped Lace trim to create some softness to our vintage card. We then ran some Basic Gray for the Eiffel Tower, Blushing Bride for the blossom, and some Silver Foil for the word through the die cutting machine. A pearl was the final touch! What do you think?

Be sure to get your FREE Sale-a-bration items with every $50 you spend! Plus, order through me (be sure to mark ok to contact) and I will mail you a thank you gift! Blessings!

While at the retreat-we had severe weather (including tornadoes) and snow the next morning! Just crazy! But it inspired me to use this lovely Under My Umbrella Bundle!

I saw a card on Pinterest that inspire me to use the No Line Watercolor technique for the main image!i love the softness it created! To create this: use ink pads or markers to stamp the lined portion of your stamp on to paper. The. You will use a Blender pen and re-inker to color the insiders the image in the matching color. The results are stunning!

Next step is to stamp the umbrella on to the card stock color of your choice and punch it out. I added some extra bling with the new Champagne Basic Jewels! That needs to be a staple in our main catalog! Love these! Next, I added some rain drops in Pool Party on Pool Party cardstock. I cut out the stamped image and sentiment using the Stitched Nested labels. Of course I had to add Wink of Stella on the flowers!

Vintage Daisy Lane

My creative mojo was definitely flowing when I made this card! When I looked at what I had in my basket after I was done, I realized that I had made one of those $100 cards! LOL!

I used 4 punches, 2 stamp sets, a die, linen thread, epoxy gem, and cardstock. Now, I had a great tip from a fellow demonstrator on how to build your “sandwich” with your die cutting machine to help cut out all those little dots on the lace!

You will need your die cutting machine, multipurpose platform (that has tabs), precision plate, 1 clear standard pad, wax paper, lint roller, and die brush.

  1. Place one piece of wax paper onto the precision plate (which is on top of the multipurpose plate on tab 2).
  2. Then place your paper on top of the wax paper at an angle.
  3. Place a second sheet of wax paper on top of the paper.
  4. Place your Stitched Lace die on top of the wax/paper at and angle. (this helps keep the die from warping)
  5. Run it through the die cutting machine once for Whisper White and twice for other cardstock/thicker DSP)
  6. Use a lint roller to remove the small pieces.
  7. For the stubborn last few pieces, you can use the die brush to coax them out!

Works like a charm each time! My club girls have had no problems!!!

Use a Stampin’ Blend marker to color your Clear Epoxy Gems!!!

Watercolor Smoosh

I saw Elizabeth Bennett’s  beautiful card on our own Demonstrator Planning Place FB page and I had to make one like it! It was our technique for our monthly stamp club too! It’s a bit messy, but it’s so worth it!

You will need the following: Stampin’ Up! Water Color Paper;  Ink Refills of your choice (I used Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and Night of Navy); Frost White Shimmer Paint, plastic wrap, paper towels, and a drop cloth/paper. (protection for your craft surface).

First you want to spritz your watercolor paper on both sides to prevent curling. I placed it on a paper towel that was folded up for more protection. Then, I dropped 2-3 of each color & the Frost White Shimmer paint onto the plastic wrap. Next, spritz it with water and place your watercolor paper/towel on top. Carefully flip it over and move the inks around until you like the mix. Let dry overnight and peel off the plastic wrap! They all turned out different and stunning! If you are in a hurry, you can pull up the wrap in a few minutes and heat set with the Heat Tool. But-it won’t have the crisp lines from the plastic wrap.

And now you can stock up on these goodies and earn $5 coupons for every $50 this month! You can use your $5 coupons in August!!! Shop by Clicking on Laura’s Stampin’ Up! Website

AND if you love having a discount on your craft supplies, then this is a great time to sign up too! You get an additional $30 of product to add to the normal $125! That’s $155 worth of any current product (plus business supplies-catalogs for your friends). And they are throwing in a $10 coupon to use in August (which is Holiday Catalog PRE ORDER!!)

And when you order for yourself as a demo, you still get host rewards @ $150 merchandise and the bonus coupons! That’s a lot of savings!

So Long Sweets

I love the pops of color that the How Sweet it is Suite includes!  This set will not carry over, so get it while supplies last on the Last Chance Products!

I love the contrast of the Gorgeous Grape, Costal Cabana, and Melon Mambo in the How Sweet it Is DSP!  I used this combo to jump off to create this cute card!  I used Silver Embossing Powder on Window Sheets to create the realistic jars.  Then I used the Jar of Sweet coordinating dies to cut out the jars to stamp the candy inside.  To create the illusion that the jars are on a shelf, I popped up the smaller one on dimensionals.  I HAD to use my new favorite Rectangle Stitched Dies for the Highland Heather piece!  These are the BOMB!  They just add an extra pop of texture to your card!

img_3792

I tried using the Embossing Buddy to keep the little sprays of embossing powder, but it was too hard to get the haze off of the window sheet.  I think it looks like a vintage candy shop jar, so I like it!  There is a cute little die that cuts out the treats-perfect for the front jar!  To finish this card-it screamed for the absolutely adorable Costal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon!

Be sure to check out the Retiring Lists!!!  There are quite a few items that are already sold out!

Amazingly Beautiful

7271E5F2-8954-4F16-88B2-15982210E5E1My it’s been a busy couple of weeks!  I can’t believe we are half way through April too!  I have been preparing my roomie gifts, swaps, and club projects the past few weeks.  I made this card for a On Stage Swap and had to use it for club too!  I can let you in on a secret….the Beauty Abounds stamp set and dies are carrying over!

I have to say Highland Heather is one of my favorite colors right now!  I used the Lace 3-D embossing folder to make the Basic Grey add more texture to the card.  I added some of the bubbles using Highland Heather and I used Smoky Slate for the grainy stamp.  The butterflies were stamped with Gorgeous Grape and cut out with the Die Cutting Machine. Of course I had to add Wink of Stella to this card….it just called out for it!

DC43E4C8-7AE3-42CC-83C3-6581D179C807

I love the Silver Baker’s Twine-it helps add some dimension and whimsy to the sentiment that I used from A Big Thank You stamp set.

We had an amazing time at On Stage San Antonio! I always enjoy spending time with my team, seeing familiar faces/friends, meeting new friends, and seeing all the NEW products!!! The best part was watching my dear friend (and downline) attend her first On Stage!  Plus-she promoted to Silver the week before!  I am so proud of her and what she brings to inspire others!

Simply Enjoy Life

final-10

We just had our quarterly team meeting and we love to do a card SWAP!  This was one that I did using the Enjoy Life stamp set!  I love the sentiments and positive affirmations that are included in this set! It has so many possibilities using the stamps a silhouette with a sunset, an action technique with the bike, or just a simple card like this one!

To create this card I stamped Pool Party onto Pool Party cardstock using the new Crackle Paint background stamp! I love this background stamp!  Then, I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Embossing Folder to add more texture.  Once that was adhered down, I stamped my flower/grass stamp with Early Espresso in the bottom right corner. Next I added the butterflies, the sentiment, and the Braided Linen thread! All done!  Oh, wait…..I did Wink the Butterflies!

Beautiful Butterflies

Do you remember the card I made a couple of weeks ago with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits? I kept all the ones that were cut off and created this gem!  And I have enough for one more!  The one item that made these butterflies a breeze to put together was the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheet!  Just place a piece on the cardstock color you will use for your detailed die, then run it through the Big Shot! You now have a sticker-peel off the back and place on top of the bottom color! Crazy, I didn’t even use a stamp or ink on this card!

final-9

I LOVE the FREE Botanical Butterfly Paper!  The back side of each colorful piece of DSP has a black and white pattern!  I love this gingham with the Calypso Coral and Black! I was going to add a sentiment, but I felt it would have been too much!  Clean and Simple!

March Hostess Code is PBXJZGXM and I will also send you a FREE pack of Frosted Flower Embellishments just for ordering from me!  Click on Laura’s Stampin’ Up! website to order now!

Have a blessed week!
