Love What You Do-always!

final-13

Wow, it’s been a little bit since I posted!  Life has been a little hectic lately!  But I am at my craft retreat recharging my creative mojo!  I made this card for my All Occasion Stamp a Stack of cards last month!  It features items that you can buy as a sneak peek bundle this month!  (details to follow!)

Grapefruit Grove is my favorite new In Color for this year!!  It mixes so well with the Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss! (soooo happy these colors are back) There are two stamps that can be used to fill your flower blooms in this set.  I used the smaller one and stamped one at full strength and then followed with a stamped off image.  I added some Wink of Stella too!

I used the Mint Macaron for color on color to create more depth.  Then I added a small strip of Blackberry Bliss with some Linen Thread for more texture and grounding. To create the border on the Love What You Do DSP, I used the Decorative Ribbon Border punch and turned it to the scalloped side for a subtle accent.

If you would like to order a bundle for the Share What You Love, you can visit my Stampin’ Up Website and order today!  Use the hostess code AKBCENU7 at check out!  You will be rewarded with a gift from me (mailed separate) for ordering through my site! (be sure to allow me to contact so I have your address) I also have a Loyalty Rewards program too! Please note the “Gotta Have It All” bundle….it cost’s $127.50.  You can sign up on my team for $99 (plus your local tax) and choose $125 of product.  So, you could choose this bundle and get it for less!  AND have a 20% discount on all other purchases/sales! (plus you get recognition, new friends, our private FB page, and purchase rewards!) Plus, I send all my new team members exclusive gifts from me!

Who loves to make quick and simple cards??  I do!  I made this for my Sweet & Simple class and I am using it as a SWAP for the upcoming Stampin’ Up! On Stage event!

**if you are local; I am moving the Sweet & Simple to the Thursday the 29th at 7pm!  We all need a rest from Spring Break!

The set is called Amzing You and it is a FREE item from the Sale a Bration catalog!  How do you earn it for FREE??  (and there are several other items available for FREE too!) I first used Smoke Slate as my card base and cut the Petal Passion DSP as a background paper piece.  I stamped the flower and colored it with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends pack (144603) and a Color Lifter (144608) They are going on back order soon if not already….they are very popular right now!

As you know, I am a Wink a Holic!  So, naturally I Winked the flower and added a clear Faceted Gem for the center. A quick cut out of the sentiment with the Stitched Framelits, and done!

Petal Soft & FREE card kit

XABU9988

I made a very similar card for a dear friend’s wedding.  I loved it so much that I re-made it for a club card for this month!  The Petal Palette stamp set and matching Petals & More Thinlits have been a favorite this past month!

I first stamped the leaf bunch with Pool Party on Pool Party card stock.  I did stamp off on one of the layers to give it a more subtle feel.  Next, I cut out the ornate accent with Silver Foil and layered half of a Doily underneath.  I tussled some Silver Bakers twine behind the flowers after using dimensionals to pop it up.  Look how ornate and elegant the Stampin’ Blends make the colors on the bouquet!  Of course I added Wink of Stella Clear to the flowers!

The Garden Trellis embossing folder was used for more texture behind the flowers.  It was finished off with a sentiment from the Petal Pallet set cut out with the thinlit included.

I just finished the last card for the FREE Creative Class to Go kit!  What is that?  You order the bundle on my website using this month’s hostess code.  Then, Stampin’ Up! send the stamp bundle to you directly.  If you are local-just pick up the cute case that contains your consumable products to make 6 cards!  (3 designs-2 of each).

Pretty Patterns

IMG_2784

I fell in love with the special edition Host set from last month! Merry Patterns is a stunning set that you can create several different scenes with one set.  And it has great 2-step stamping! The deer in the sweater is my favorite!  I decided to use silver embossing powder to create his image.  It’s paired with the Year of Cheer specialty DSP, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Grey.  Just gives you a cold and wintery feel!GPUZ1380

Fun with Christmas Quilt

SKIU5706 (1)

I love sewing projects and would love to learn how to make quilts!  So, when I saw the Christmas Quilt suite, I had to have it!  It’s filled with cute felt embellishments, a gorgeous Designer Series Paper pack, stamp set, and coordinating dies!

This card has a few extra steps, but the result is so worth it!  I used a Crumb Cake base and stamped the stitched flower randomly with Crumb Cake ink.  I then cut out the small flower with the Real Red piece before I ran the Real Red piece through with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.  (I love to save paper when I can) What is nice about making this card is that you can make 3 of the quilt panels with what you cut out.  I took 3 different pieces of the DSP (cut to 3″x 3″) and ran all 3 through with the quilt block die.  To make this a little easier to piece together, I used a Whisper White piece for a backing.  I glued the outline part of the DSP to the Whisper White.  Then I stamped the star portion of the quilt block.  I then pieced the paper into the remaining places.

JCNF4981

You will notice that after that part is finished, I ran it through the Quilted Embossing folder to add the stitched quilt top look. It’s finished off with 1/8″ Gold ribbon and a rhinestone.  I just love how it turned out!

Friday the 20th is the last day to order your bundle to get the FREE supplies to make 6 cards!  (includes a cute box, PDF, and all consumables) Click on October Creative Class to Go to find out more!
