The Hydrangea Haven suite was the one page that really took my breath away! I love purple and all shades of purple. But, hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers! It might be that I am jealous that I can’t grow them in Texas. Some people have a space around their house that can accommodate the cooler shade/temperatures. Not our house! It will scorch with the west facing sunset!
Thanks to Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Concept Artists, I can surround myself with these gorgeous flowers! This card was a nice and simple card that our club made for January. The bloom part was cut out using the Hydrangea Dies and I stamped the stem with Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I followed with Old Olive inked on the 2 step stem (the fill stamp). The Gorgeous Grape piece was run through the Stamp, Cut, Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder to add some dimension and texture.
The background was randomly stamped using Highland Heather with the small single bloom (it looks like a small butterfly too, bonus!) with color on color. The small tag is part of the Hydrangea Dies and there are several sentiments in the Hydrangea Haven stamp set.

The NEW Prized Peony suite is just gorgeous! The Peony dies make realistic peony paper flowers with ease. The Prized Peony set has simple sentiments, detailed stamps, and a touch of background whimsy! The colors in the suite are create a soft feel- Petal Pink, Whisper White, Gray Granite, and Basic Gray.
To make this super easy card, you will fold a piece of Gray Granite (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) card stock and crease it with your Bone Folder. Next, stamp the grunge diamond pattern randomly with Gray Granite ink (stamped off once) onto your card stock base. Then stamp the larger peony on a piece of Whisper White (4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″) using Petal Pink ink. There is a scalloped border in the Peony Dies set that I used to cut the Whisper White piece at the bottom. Then take a piece of the Peony Garden DSP cut @ 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and adhere that to your card base. Place Dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White piece that has the peony stamped on it and adhere that on the card base. Next, you will fold a 4″ piece of the Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon in half and adhere to the card with Glue Dots. Chose your sentiment and shape to finish off your card! I used the die from the Perfect Parcel to cut out a sentiment in this set.

I am so happy that the Best Dressed and matching dies stayed in the new annual catalog! It’s fun, versatile, and whimsical! I have made at least 5 creations with it! It is a great to have on hand for teens, divas, and fashionistas in your life!
The best part is that the photopolymer stamp makes it super simple to eyeball my line of lipsticks. I colored the tubes with Petal Pink blends and Lovely Lipstick blends (recently retired). Next, I stamped Smoky Slate tone on tone with the rose stamp to create a custom background.
I did color the Whisper White Crinkle ribbon with Lovely Lipstick blends. I pulled the piece together with a Basic Black mat and some Basic Rhinestones. You know me, I did Wink the lipstick!
I participated in a Zoom call with other demos in our region and Chad, our Demonstrator Development Manger. It was a lot of fun to meet others, brainstorm ideas, and made new connections! Our focus was on how to keep people stamping, helping pass the time, and to aid in ideas on how to keep our classes/events going.
There was a great suggestion from a dear friend, Sharon Armstrong from Arizona, to hold a Mystery Stamping/ Card event. She usually does hers via FB. We tried it last Friday and we had so much fun! It really helped boost spirits, inflict laughter, and showed our talents!!!
This is the end product for the Peek-a-boo Panel card that I came up with. I had a power point with clues on each one. Each person used their own stash of paper, patterned paper, inks, and other supplies.
Check out the other people’s creations!
We already agreed to do it again this Friday and the event is full! Wow! Here is another one that I made for this layout too!
