The Delicate Dahlia photopolymer stamp set is an absolute treasure! It is a one of the items you can earn for FREE in the Sale-a-Bration catalog! (now through 9/30/21 with a qualifying purchase) I wanted to make a sweet and simple card using this set to show how to create beautiful cards with few items!
I started with one of my favorite color pallets! Smoky Slate has been a favorite neutral background for me for years! And my favorite color is lavender- so Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather fit the bill!
I chose to use a tone on tone (same ink color on the same cardstock color) for the Smoky Slate background and stamped the lined images from the stamp set. The focal point pieces will cover any overlapping stamped images in the center. Once the background was stamped, I took a piece 4 1/4″x 3″ of Basic White and stamped the lined image with Gorgeous Grape first. I find that the lined image in a dark color is easier to line up with the “fill” stamp. Next, I adhered the mat piece of Highland Heather to the Basic White piece. Then I placed Dimensionals on the back to pop it up on the card base for more depth.
I wanted to keep the dahlia the focal point, so I used a small die from the Tasteful Labels dies and a bow made from Linen thread. Wink of Stella clear was the final step to finish this card.
This is a great card to make multiples of so you can have some on hand! Be sure to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration sale!
Who is ready for fall?? I am ready for the cooler weather, sweaters, hot beverages, and all the colored leaves painted by nature!
I had to have the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle the moment I saw it in the Holiday Mini Catalog! I did have a hard time getting my mojo going-so I went to look at cards I have made in the past. Here is the card I made a while ago using Faux Metal that to inspired making this one! I looked at the elements that I wanted to bring to life in my current card. I used the banner and the leaves bunched up to re-create the layout. I love to CASE cards that I see around and sometimes my own! It always gets me back to creating seamlessly!
Another tip to help with color coordination is to use the DSP (Designer Series Paper) that you are wanting to use-turn it over and they list all the colors for you. In this case, I used the Misty Moonlight and Basic White piece of the paper. I wanted to use more true fall colors, so I chose Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, and Bumblebee for my colors.
I stamped the various leaf images by stamping off on scratch paper first, then the color on color cardstock. This created a softer look. (Color on Color is the same ink color on the matching cardstock color) Then it was off to the Stamp, Cut, and Die Machine (SCEM). I cut out the stamped leaves, some of the more intricate leaves, the branch, and one leaf I used the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty paper for that bling!
I used the Bark 3D Embossing Folder to add more texture for the background plus a double bow I made using Linen Thread. I tied in the Blue using Night of Navy for the sentiment!
I just love the detail! I added the items to a list below that you can click on to go and order right from my website!

What is it about berries that makes me so happy? I feel like it reminds me of the freshness of spring and summer! Nothing beats fresh fruit on a hot day along with your favorite iced tea! When I saw the Sweet Strawberry bundle, I knew I had to have it!
Just think of all the cute treat boxes, scrapbook pages, cards, and much more that you can make using this bundle! While cruising Pinterest, I saw people using the punched berries for toppers for wrapped chocolates! Another post had the strawberry punched upside down with a light green color to resemble a pear! Seriously, the possibilities are endless!
I made this adorable card for our club card this month! I started off with a 8 1/2″x 5 1/2″ piece of Garden Green card stock folded in half and creased. (TIP: I love to refer to the back of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack for the colors used in the paper) I cut the following to make a series of mats to make the picnic tablecloth pattern pop! (Basic White 4″x 5 1/4″; Granny Apple Green 3 3/4″x 5″, Crosshatch DSP pattern 3 1/2″x 4 3/4″)
It is always economical to paper save when the opportunity arises. I cut out the Basic White stitched circle using the Stamp, Cut, and Emboss machine (SCEM) before adhering the other layers on top of it. To punch out the berries and flowers, use a scrap piece of Basic White. Stamping the images are easy with this photopolymer set and the two step stamping. I found stamping the berry first and then the outline much easier. The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray ink on to a Smoky Slate scrap, then punched out.
To make your focal point, place Dimensionals under each berry. Next, use glue dots to attach the topper so the berries. Using Garden Green ink, stamp the flower & stem stamp leaving enough room to place the berries. I used a Blender Pen to pull the color from the veins of the leaves to create the lighter hue. The flowers were stamped with Smoky Slate and punched out. They were adhered onto the circle with Glue Dots and adorned with Basic Rhinestones. (a little Daffodil Delight marker to accent the jewels)

Who doesn’t love bees? (well not right in my face) But they are soooo beneficial for the environment, pollination, honey, and defying physics! I love the colors of black, white, yellow, and gold together!!
We had our Team Gathering last month. I have always wanted to do a Card Gut challenge! We all got the same sized pieces of cardstock and DSP in an envelope. We all were allowed to add extra colored paper, embellishments, and stamps. We just couldn’t alter the paper included in the card guts! I posted three of our team’s cards on this post!
During Sale-a-bration, one of the FREE items choices is the Golden Honey Specialty DSP! I LOVE THIS PAPER! Playful and yet elegant patterns of black, white, and gold to make your projects gorgeous! And since it specialty paper, it’s thicker and metallic!
I started with the card guts: Thick Whisper White cardstock, Golden Honey DSP, Basic Black. I ran the Basic Black through the die cutting machine with the Hammered Metal 3-D folder. I wanted a pop of yellow, so I added a mat piece of Daffodil Delight. I ran a piece of Gold Foil through the die cutting machine with the hive die for a fun accent.
To create the bees I stamped with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with the Shimmer Black embossing powder! Have you tried it yet? It made the bees so fun and whimsical! I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the sentiment!
Now to show you the team’s creations!
I hope you enjoyed the card cards we all made from the same pieces! Be sure to check out all the great new products in the Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration freebies! Laura’s Stampin Up! website.
