Back in Stock! Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder + Gold Embossing Powder

There are some products that instantly make you stop and admire the finished project, and the Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder is definitely one of them! This gorgeous embossing folder is part of the Valley In Bloom Suite, and today I’m sharing a simple technique that transforms an embossed background into an elegant, gold-accented focal point.

How I Made This Card

I started by embossing a piece of Basic White Cardstock using the Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder in the Stamp, Cut & Emboss Machine.

Next came my favorite part! I lightly tapped a VersaMark Pad across only the raised areas of the embossed design. The key is to use a light touch so you don’t over-ink the background. Once the VersaMark was applied, I sprinkled WOW! Gold Embossing Powder over the design, tapped off the excess, and melted it with my Heat Tool. Watching the gold come to life over the embossed details is so satisfying, and the finished effect is absolutely gorgeous!

To add a soft touch of color without taking away from the elegant gold details, I used a Dauber to blend Petal Pink onto the flowers and Soft Seafoam onto the leaves. The gentle shading allows the embossing to remain the star while adding just enough color to bring the floral design to life.

I layered the finished panel onto a mat of Early Espresso Cardstock, which really makes the gold shine, then adhered everything to a Petal Pink Cardstock base. I completed the card with a simple label and sentiment, proving that a beautifully embossed background doesn’t need much else to create an elegant handmade card.

This technique is surprisingly easy but creates a card that looks like it took hours to make. Whether you’re making birthday cards, thank you cards, or thinking of you cards, this embossing technique adds a luxurious touch to any occasion.
