Cool Treats Shaker

My girls at stamp club have been asking to learn how to make shaker cards!  So, wish granted!  How cute did this turn out?  I used the Cool Treats Bundle and the Sprinkles Embellishments to add the FUN!

They are a lot easier to make than they look!  The Foam Adhesive Strips make it super simple to make your shaker hold all the contents!

First: Choose your image and stamp in on a base piece/shape of your choice.  I used the Layering Ovals here.

Next: Cut out a piece of Window Sheet to match the above shape. (It must be the same size to keep all the pieces inside the shaker)

Next: Add a Oval Frame to go on top of the window sheet.  Be sure it’s wide enough to cover the Foam Adhesive.

Putting it all together: Take your Foam Adhesive Strip and lay it down & bend it to make the contour of your shape.  Push down to ensure it’s adhered.  Then add your sprinkles (glitter, sand, sequins).  Use the embossing buddy on the window sheet before to remove any static. (especially for glitter).  Wipe the evident residue off.  Then peel off the top layer of the foam adhesive and attach window sheet.  I finished it off with Fast Fuse to the matching frame.

All done!  I would recommend a bubble mailer and extra postage so it doesn’t get damaged if you mail it.

Who wouldn’t want to get this on their birthday??

STAY TUNED!  We are off to On Stage this weekend in Shreveport!!  I will post a ton of pictures and a few sneak peeks that I can of the upcoming catalog!

Vertical Garden Kit-Super sweet & simple!

The Vertical Garden Project Kit and Vertical Garden stamp set make such a beautiful springy succulent home décor item!!  I added some different color sponge distressing on the leaves. I used Whisper White Craft, Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, and Sweet Sugarplum to give them a more realistic feel.  I am thinking of adding something in the middle of each one or a few.  What do you think?

You will need a hot glue gun and the wonderful silicone sheet!  It’s a lifesaver for the roses!  I only burned myself once!  (very impressed!) The box is nice and sturdy and the ribbon is included and has that vintage feel to it!

The Vertical Garden stamp set helps you get a 3-d feel with your greeting.  This is a great kit for you and some friends to make together!  If you want, I can come help out if you are local or Skype.  New items will be added tomorrow for the Sale a Bration FREEBIEs!

Craft show fun!

Wow! It’s been a busy last two weeks for me!  I was preparing all these Clear Mount stamp cases for a holiday market at the new high school!  These all sold but one!  I had to make a 2nd batch too!  There is a 5×8 note pad (Staples cut them to 5×7) in each one held in with Velcro.  I added a matching strip of DSP to the top of the notepad too.

I also made 38 of these coffee/water bottle cozies! (just got the feeling back in on my pointer finger) I love carrying water around, and everyone local knows me for them. They were fun to make and I sold all but 12.  (so if you need one or more let me know)  $6 each or 2 for $10 (US shipping only) They have elastic in them and they can fit a venti sized coffee too!

Last but not least: I had to make cute stuff for Gavin’s school staff and his teacher. I used my last pack of muslin bags and stamped on them.  I ironed them first and placed a scrap cardboard piece inside. I wish I took a picture of the santa.  He was super cute!  I used the red glitter details and the dazzling details!

I also had 40 of these that flew off my shelf at the craft show!  $3 each or 4 for $10!  I used white Stazon and a few stamp sets to stamp the top.  If it didn’t turn out the Stazon cleaner worked great!  I then used fast fuse to glue the DSP strip to the tin.  Filled them with kisses and that was it!

I have a great card to share in the next two days.  I just want to be sure my recipients’ get theirs before they see it here!  I will recharge my crafting mojo in the next couple of weeks and spend precious time with my family.  January will be great!!  Sale a Bration is almost here along with the Occasions Catalog! Need one of each? Just comment below!  (club members-you will get one very soon)

Merry Christmas!  Laura

My Breast Cancer Survivor canvas

I saw a card made on Pinterest that inspired me to make this canvas for myself. It’s a positive reminder of God’s plan, comfort, and strength he has for me.

I used a flat 5×5 canvas-the ones with the hard backing. I used Blushing Bride and my aqua painter for the wash. Once that dried, I flicked some Blushing Bride inker and then used clear wink of Stella to go over the wash.

I had a bag of pre-done ribbons, so I cheated there, but the rest is all Stampin Up! I plan on making more for gifts. And starting a Cards for a Cause class.

I am crafting at my uplines house tonight and tomorrow! So get ready! I have a gift bazaar at my house with several vendors on November 5th and a Craft Fair in December! Lots to catch up on!

Harvest Baker’s Box

This Kraft Rope Trim is so incredible!  I like the country/fall look that is gives your projects!  I also plan on using it for the rope on an upcoming banner!

I used the Baker’s Box die-which held 3 small Almond Joys in it!  Perfect for coworker gifts! The Cookie Cutter Halloween and Cookie Cutter Builder punch is a hit!  (I pray this stays in the next catalog!) .

I should be back to my normal blogging now.  I was diagnosed with Stage 1  Breast Cancer in July.  I just had a double mastectomy last week.  (family history)  Great news!  No chemo-all my pathology came back no lymph nodes!  What a relief!  They did find the early signs of pre cancerous cells on the opposite side.  I wanted to share this you or your loved ones to be sure to get those yearly mammograms.  I have been faithful for over 10 years getting mine!  And it saved my life! And now back to stamping!  Best therapy out there! Blessings to all and to the Good Lord Above!

My Scripture: Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Happy stampin and Happy Life! Laura

Floral Pleats-elegant!

This was the technique for my September club.  I love that it makes the card so elegant!  I had to use the Floral Phrases too!  It’s just such a pretty set and the paper is just gorgeous!

  1. Cut a piece of DSP and cut it to 8 3/8″x 3″
  2. Score at 3″, 4″, 6″, & 7″
  3. Mark the 3″ score line so you can line that up with the track of the cutter
  4. On your Stampin up Trimmer, line up the corner of the top left (landscape orientation) of piece of the DSP to the 1″.  Then cut the diagonal piece.
  5. Fold in a peak and valley fashion and adhere the pleats together.  I used a dimensional to keep the pleats more pronounced.

I have a loyalty  rewards program too!  Click Laura’s Creative Corner Online Rewards Program to print yours now!

Christmas Treat Jar

I finally got to play with the Foam Strips that Stampin’ Up! came out with in the new Annual Catalog!  So easy to make your shaker cards!!

Of course I also LOVE this Candy Cane Christmas set!  I used the Real Red Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder for the Peppermints.  I then punched them out with the 1/2″ circle punch.

The foam strips are nice a long.  I took the whole piece and worked it around the jar shape.  I pressed my fingers against the inside to soften the adhesive. This way the items in the shaker won’t stick to it as much.

I cut out the Candy Cane Lane DSP piece and the Garden Green piece together.  The Real Red is the base that sealed the back.  I put a piece of 2 1/2″ x 3″ window sheet behind the Gardne Green and DSP layer.  So it’s DSP, then Garden Green, Window Sheet, and then the Real Red backing. You may want to add extra postage if you send these and a bubble mailer!  I also put some silver and white sequins from the metallic sequins.

Then you have to have a pop of Real Red with a bow made by the Bow Builder punch!

This set is going to see a lot more ink!!  Stay tuned!

Make your own box and bath bombs!

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the support that the corporate team give us!  They made a great project class with 3 projects that included instructions and measurements for the product!  I finally used the Gift Box Punch Board!  I love having this on hand along with the Gift Bag and Envelope punch boards.

Who wouldn’t love getting a box like this with a homemade bath bomb inside??  I have a wonderful friend, Amy from Mainly Homemade, that shows how to make these heavenly bath items!  Click how to make homemade bath bombs for instructions on how to make a batch!  (hint-she sells Young Living too!) Then add your favorite essential oil or gift a bottle with the bath bombs!  A few drops of your favorite oil before dropping it in the bathtub and instant heaven!

Here is another close up of the box top and how I decorated it! IMG_1142

The box is made of a piece of 12×12 Kraft cardstock (thicker style that is great for boxes!).  I just followed the instructions for an XL box.  Before I folded on the score lines, I used Versa Mark and the new Copper Embossing Powder to make the design on the corners.  I then used Tear and Tape to glue the inside part together.

The stamp set is Thoughtful Branches and the Thinlits are Beautiful Branches.  A limited offered set available thought August 31st.  Save by purchasing the bundle or separate.  I have had more fun with this bundle and plan on keeping it way after it retires!

I am offering a loyalty program starting this month!  For every $50 purchase you make with me online you will get a punch!  Once you collect 6 punches, you will receive a FREE stamp set of your choice up to a $30 value!  Just download the form! Once you fill the 6 spots, email me the completed form with your choice of a stamp set! I will confirm your orders and send the stamp set straight to you!

Funky Swirls

Do you ever see something out of you die cut pieces? I started seeing a fun card after cutting out the swirls from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. They kind of remind me of little hurricanes too. I used the Fine Tip Detail glue pen to attach them randomly to a 4″ x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock. I then cut it down the middle.

I was in the mood for a different fold, so I did a Z-fold. All you do is cut your card base as usual for an A2 card. Then score at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. Just fun and funky!

Stay tuned! I am almost finished with the August Creative Kit by mail! Plus, I am getting my pre-order from the Holiday Catalog this week!!! Sqeeeeeee!

Baby Foxy Friend

I think just about everyone just fell instantly in love with this Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating punch!  The matching DSP stack is super cute too!  I have made several critters and this was the first card I made with one.

This is a great bundle to make scrapbook pages too!

You can punch them out and build them or stamp them out.  Even combine the two! I can’t wait to make Christmas Tags with this too!

Thanks for stopping by!
