Fresh Strawberries!

I was looking around Pinterest and my list of blogs I love to check out-and this shadow box was so cute! Super easy too!  Dawn Olchefske was kind enough to share her instructions on her blog.

I used the Fresh Fruit set with Whisper White for the front piece and Daffodil Delight for the back piece.

  1. You will cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″.
  2. Score each piece at 1/2″ x 1″ on each end
  3. I stamped the Strawberry and other accents randomly on the Whisper White piece.
  4. Place Layering Circle Framelits (largest 2 7/8″)
  5. Place the stamped top piece on top of the back piece and mark points with a pencil to help with stamp alignment.
  6. Stamp sentiment inside
  7. Fold on all score lines (fan fold)
  8. Place Tear & Tape long far sides only of the base and adhere to the top piece.
  9. Push sides inward to create shadow box effect.

Travel case with coordinating cards

I saw these on Lisa Curcio’s website last year.  I made at least 20 and they are all gone!  I had several people ask me to hold a class-so here it is!  I may do this as my first online-in the mail class too!

It comes with the travel case and 6 cards.  Two designs-three of each.  Super cute and a great gift idea!

New Year-Starting off right!

  • image

I am thrilled to start a new round of stamp club this month!  I thought it would be fun for my members to make these cute magnet calendars for one of their three projects!

My upline buys the tear off calendars by bulk.  I bought two packets and they are perfect for making these cute calendars!  It’s a basic A2 sized card front with paper from the new Sale A Bration catalog!!

Happy stamping!

Cute Hershey’s bars

These are so simple to whip up! I used the Merry Moments DSP pack because they are already cut to the size you need!

Start with a 6×6 inch base.  Then score at 2 1/2″; 2 3/4″; 5 1/4″; and 5 1/2″.  Then you used Tear and Tape to seal the cover on the tab area.  I recommend doing this before punching the ovals.  I was able to punch both at the same time.  Then you thread the Cherry Cobbler 1 1/4″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (24″) through both punched ovals.  Slide the Hershey’s bar in through the top with the ovals and push to the bottom and it will hold the candy in place in the sleeve.  Tie your bow and decorate!

Happy Stampin’!  You can order these items through my online store: http://www.lvenvertloh.stampinup.net

A bouquet for you!

Spring 2014 fun 031

I wanted to do something other than cards for club this month.  I used the Spiral Flower Originals Die and cut out 7 flowers.  I used 2 pieces of Primrose Petals Coredinations cardstock and sanded them BEFORE I cut them out.  I then used 2 regular pieces of Primrose Petals cardstock, and finally used 3 pieces of Very Vanilla.  I took some Primrose Petals ink and a sponge to add the light coloring on the Very Vanilla ones.

Once you have your spiral, you want to use your bone folder to lightly curl the spiral.  This breaks up the fibers and makes it easier to roll into a flower.  Then I started at the thinnest part of the spiral and started rolling until I reached the fattest part.  You will have a section left to put hot glue or glue dots on to hold your flower together.  I used hot glue.  I used varying tightness to make each flower look a little different.  It did take me a couple of tries to get the feel for them.  But now I am a flower making machine!!

I used the smallest scallop circle punch to glue floral wire and the flower together.  All put into a 2″ clay pot!  I put some shreds in for filler and a piece of Styrofoam too.

Perfect Blend Gift Card Holder

August pics 2013 012

Shelli demonstrated some really cute projects at Convention this year!  This was inspired by one of her projects.  I wanted to case it completely, but I am not quite ready for Christmas yet.  So, I used the Pop n’ Cuts card base, then

  1. With the straight side to your left; place Chocolate Chip cardstock into Simply Scored and score at 1 ½”; 3 ¾”;      & 7 ¾”.
  2. Make a “z” fold with the 1 ½” and 3 ¾” side and adhere with sticky strip.
  3. Adhere Sweater Weather DSP to base cardstock, and then tie linen thread around the top.  Thread button into Linen Thread and tie a bow.  Keep in place with a glue dot.
  4. Stamp coffee cup once on Very Vanilla      CS and the coffee sleeve on the crushed curry DSP. Cut with snips.
  5. Then adhere them and finish your project!
