Birthday

Simple Art Gallery Birthday

I had to have the Gold Leafing once I saw it in the Mini Catalog! Can you believe I haven’t used it yet?? Do you ever do that? That is on my list to DO this week! It’s spring break already and we are just staying home. Just praying that they go back this year! LOL!

I did at least play with the gorgeous Art Gallery stamp set and the coordinating Fine Art Floral DSP to create a club card! This paper has color combos that will please all tastes! I am using a lot of Rococo Rose lately-I am probably sad that it’s going to leave the In-Colors this year.

This card was very simple to put together. You start off with a Rococo Rose card base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) and fold in half. Then you cut a piece of the Fine Art Floral DSP & a Merry Merlot piece (2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ each). I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder to create the texture on the Merry Merlot piece.

Next you will stamp the flower sprig on a scrap of Very Vanilla. I inked the whole image with Rococo Rose Ink and then I used a Blender Pen to remove ink on the stems. I went back with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write marker. I did add some Wink of Stella to the blooms as well to compliment the other gold embellishments. I cut it out using the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes dies.

Use the sentiment of your choice from the Art Gallery stamp set-I love the selection in this set!! Next, you can adhere the Merry Merlot with adhesive and put Dimensionals on the DSP. I added Stampin’ Seal to the back of the circle so the Fine Art Ribbon would stay in place. I then added some Dimensionals to pop that up. The card is finished with the Gilded Gems.

I hope you enjoyed this card today! I promise that the Gold Leafing is coming! I plan on a FB live too! Want to join in on my VIP group?? Click the button below!

How to Use Your Dies as a Stencil

After the past two weeks, I am so ready for Spring here in Texas! I have lived here all of my life, and I have never seen the whole state get clobbered by snow and ice, much less have the power grid fail! We were lucky and only lost power. We were able to stay with a family member until the power was restored. No pipes or water issues, BUT we didn’t have internet for over a week. It’s so hard to type a blog on a tiny phone screen! 🙂 Enough of that, let’s check out this card I made for club last month.

The Simply Succulents Bundle was the 2nd on my wish list (those Hydrangeas are sooooo gorgeous, so that was my 1st). I also ordered the Blending Brushes that were just sitting on my desk begging for ink! This is what I came up with! I love how the colors contrast against the white space of the stenciled image.

All you have to do is cut out a stencil using the large die from the Potted Succulents dies with Basic White cardstock. (Really any color works, but I am using the colored stencil for another card!-BONUS) I did place some washi tap on the edges so it would not move too much while I was using the Blending Brushes. These Brushes are SOOOOO SOFT! I almost want one for an emotional support tool! You just swirl in the ink color of your choice and then swipe in a circular motion on your surface. They wash out with little effort! I used Rococo Rose, Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam, and Rich Razzleberry to make the colors blend and resemble succulents.

To complete the card, I just stamped on coordinating cardstock colors and cut them out using the rest of the Potted Succulents dies. I wanted a soft focal point behind the cut outs that wouldn’t compete too much with the gorgeous background. The Stitched Shaped dies are a must, I use them all the time! I used Vellum Cardstock with the Circle to make the soft back drop.

The Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is now available for customers to order today!! And it’s my Creative Kit of the month too! I just love the colors they chose for the Butterfly Bijou 6×6 DSP paper! BUT it’s while supplies last-so grab yours today!!!

May Creative Kit By Mail

May kit by mail 2016

I had a lot of fun creating this month’s Creative Kit by Mail!  It’s a kit that shows you 3 designs using the same stamp set (and coordinating tools if applicable).  Here are the details!

You will receive your very own stamp set (and choice of bundled item if available) and the consumable supplies (needed to make 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs) mailed to you by priority mail. You will need to use your own new stamp set plus inks and adhesives you have at home to make your projects. If there are punched or Big Shot pieces those will be included in your class packet.

I only have a limited amount of class kits available, so please sign up right away.  Class fee includes stamp set with project supplies, PDF file, and priority postage.

Prepaid class fees vary each month depending on the set:

Grateful Bunch bundle (stamp set & Blossom Bunch Punch) $48 (includes shipping)

Grateful Bunch stamp set only $34 (includes shipping)

* remember photopolymer & clear stamp sets require you to use a clear block and those are sold separately.

In the Mail Class fee due no later than May 23rd , 2016 (or while supplies last). If you are interested please let me know and I will send you a PayPal link. You can add items that you may need.

I will mail class packets the 1st week of June. After I send out the class in the mail kits I will email you a PDF with pictures.

You will need to email me at lkvenvert@sbcglobal.net to get the paypal link for the class fee. I am doing this so that I can keep track of how many class in the mail kits are ordered.  I can only do so many. If you don’t hear back from me, email me again. You know computers can be persnickety!

Please note that my Class in the Mail kits are only available to be shipped within the US. Thanks for understanding.

What if you already have the Grateful Bunch stamp set but you still want the class in the mail? Just let me know what other items at the same price you would like (it must fit in a priority envelope) and you will get that with your class supplies instead.
