Sale a Bration

Oh So Delicate Dahlias

The Delicate Dahlia photopolymer stamp set is an absolute treasure! It is a one of the items you can earn for FREE in the Sale-a-Bration catalog! (now through 9/30/21 with a qualifying purchase) I wanted to make a sweet and simple card using this set to show how to create beautiful cards with few items!

I started with one of my favorite color pallets! Smoky Slate has been a favorite neutral background for me for years! And my favorite color is lavender- so Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather fit the bill!

I chose to use a tone on tone (same ink color on the same cardstock color) for the Smoky Slate background and stamped the lined images from the stamp set. The focal point pieces will cover any overlapping stamped images in the center. Once the background was stamped, I took a piece 4 1/4″x 3″ of Basic White and stamped the lined image with Gorgeous Grape first. I find that the lined image in a dark color is easier to line up with the “fill” stamp. Next, I adhered the mat piece of Highland Heather to the Basic White piece. Then I placed Dimensionals on the back to pop it up on the card base for more depth.

I wanted to keep the dahlia the focal point, so I used a small die from the Tasteful Labels dies and a bow made from Linen thread. Wink of Stella clear was the final step to finish this card.

This is a great card to make multiples of so you can have some on hand! Be sure to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration sale!
