I love to follow other demonstrators to branch out my creativity! I stumbled upon Kelly Gettlefinger years ago, and I LOVE her whimsical style and creations! Follow her on YouTube @AlwaysStampinVideos! She also can be found on FB! I recently took her Cyber Club class because I love her creations for one, and it’s nice to be the student sometimes! She showed us this cool way to create a Inside Pocket Fold using DSP! (I am so sorry that the Dainty Flowers DSP is sold out now)
I created a video for my YouTube channel so you can see exactly how to make one for you and your friends! So simple and a great way to use up some hoarded DSP! Learn how to utilize your Designer Series Paper (patterned paper) to create a unique pocket inside! Such a cute idea to tuck in lottery tickets, pictures, a letter, money, gift cards, or whatever else you can dream up!
Cut a 12×12 piece of DSP to 5 1/2′ x 12
Then score at 4 1/4″ & 8 1/2″
Crease score lines
Cut the smaller flap from the top fold to the opposite corner. (see video)
I chose to use this gorgeous stamp set, Beautiful Thistle Bundle, for the focal point by stamping it using Basic Gray ink. Then I used the Old Olive, Gorgeous Grape, Flirty Flamingo, and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils. I LOVE these pencils! You can use them by themselves or mix with either our Blender Pens or Aqua Brushes to create a watercolor masterpiece!! The color spreads like butter!
I used the Smaller Blending Brush to distress the edges of the Basic White, I matted the focal area with Orchid Oasis and used Smoky Slate cardstock for the sentiment. To add some flair, I ran it through with the Whimsical Dies! To create the splatter, you can use a dark color Blends with a Bone Folder or hard item and tap firmly. I finished off with some Wink on the bee and the tops of the thistle.
