It’s a Taco Fiesta!

Stampin’ Up! had our first In-Person Event in November and we were privileged to see Erica Cerwin present her million dollar stamp set, Taco Fiesta! She lives in the San Antonio area that has a wide variety of ethnic and Tex-Mex cuisines! The card I made was inspired by one of Erica’s creations too!

I chose to make the Inlaid Floating technique for my monthly stamp club. The best part of this technique is that you can use your scraps up! I love to save money by utilizing all my paper when I can! How do you make this gem?? Read on!

I cut a bunch of my 1/2″ strips of Real Red, Tahitian Tide, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green down to 3 /1/2″. (You can use thicker strips or thinner strips and different lengths depending on your focal point.) The Window Sheet is cut to a 3 1/2″ square. Next, use the Tombo Mono Adhesive Glue on the back with a thin line. Using a liquid glue helps you keep them lined up. The Tombo glue doesn’t take too long to dry. Wait about 10 minutes before running it through your Stamp, Cut, & Emboss machine.

I used the second largest circle die with the Layering Circles to cut out the Window Sheet with the strips adhered. The pinata is fussy cut and colored with coordinating Stampin’ Blends. I used the Pale Papaya sheet from the FREE Sale-a-Bration pack.

TIP: I was at a retreat when I made this card. I did not have a matching color twine, so I used the Sweet Sorbet Blends to color some retired White Twine. Just be sure to you the side of your brush tip so you don’t fray the tip.

The candy was stamped with Real Red on Sweet Sorbet cardstock. If you have not purchased the Ticket Duo punch, you need too! I love it! Super easy to make quick sentiments. The finishing touches were placing the Pastel Adhesive Back Sequins.

Have you heard that Stampin’ Up! has started Online Exclusive products?? They are amazing and they can only be purchased in my online store! Check out the button below to see what is being offered and check out the Kits Collection too!
