Simple Cottage Rose

The Abigail Rose suite was one of the first items on my wish list! The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is great for vintage and feminine projects, cards, and layouts! The Natural Finish Ribbon is nice and smooth. I stamped with Black Stazon for another project. I found that the water-based inks tend to bleed a bit on the ribbon. The Cottage Flowers dies cut out images on the DSP and match the stamps for a variety of layers.

I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class this month! I try to make one with no die cuts and one with using the Stamp, Cut, and Emboss Machine. The A2 card base is Smoky Slate, and I chose the DSP with the same color to add some visual interest. I then cut out the scalloped rectangle from the Color & Contour dies. The floral image was stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with Sponge Daubers. I finished it off with some Champagne Rhinestones and a hint of Wink of Stella for the flower’s center.
