Sweet Berry Blessings

What is it about berries that makes me so happy? I feel like it reminds me of the freshness of spring and summer! Nothing beats fresh fruit on a hot day along with your favorite iced tea! When I saw the Sweet Strawberry bundle, I knew I had to have it!

Just think of all the cute treat boxes, scrapbook pages, cards, and much more that you can make using this bundle! While cruising Pinterest, I saw people using the punched berries for toppers for wrapped chocolates! Another post had the strawberry punched upside down with a light green color to resemble a pear! Seriously, the possibilities are endless!

I made this adorable card for our club card this month! I started off with a 8 1/2″x 5 1/2″ piece of Garden Green card stock folded in half and creased. (TIP: I love to refer to the back of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack for the colors used in the paper) I cut the following to make a series of mats to make the picnic tablecloth pattern pop! (Basic White 4″x 5 1/4″; Granny Apple Green 3 3/4″x 5″, Crosshatch DSP pattern 3 1/2″x 4 3/4″)

It is always economical to paper save when the opportunity arises. I cut out the Basic White stitched circle using the Stamp, Cut, and Emboss machine (SCEM) before adhering the other layers on top of it. To punch out the berries and flowers, use a scrap piece of Basic White. Stamping the images are easy with this photopolymer set and the two step stamping. I found stamping the berry first and then the outline much easier. The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray ink on to a Smoky Slate scrap, then punched out.

To make your focal point, place Dimensionals under each berry. Next, use glue dots to attach the topper so the berries. Using Garden Green ink, stamp the flower & stem stamp leaving enough room to place the berries. I used a Blender Pen to pull the color from the veins of the leaves to create the lighter hue. The flowers were stamped with Smoky Slate and punched out. They were adhered onto the circle with Glue Dots and adorned with Basic Rhinestones. (a little Daffodil Delight marker to accent the jewels)
