The Hydrangea Haven suite was the one page that really took my breath away! I love purple and all shades of purple. But, hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers! It might be that I am jealous that I can’t grow them in Texas. Some people have a space around their house that can accommodate the cooler shade/temperatures. Not our house! It will scorch with the west facing sunset!
Thanks to Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Concept Artists, I can surround myself with these gorgeous flowers! This card was a nice and simple card that our club made for January. The bloom part was cut out using the Hydrangea Dies and I stamped the stem with Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I followed with Old Olive inked on the 2 step stem (the fill stamp). The Gorgeous Grape piece was run through the Stamp, Cut, Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder to add some dimension and texture.

The background was randomly stamped using Highland Heather with the small single bloom (it looks like a small butterfly too, bonus!) with color on color. The small tag is part of the Hydrangea Dies and there are several sentiments in the Hydrangea Haven stamp set.
