I am super thrilled that the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is now available for all of us! The Ornate Garden suite was one of the first glimpse that we were able to play with until now! I made this card for our Mystery Zoom Stamp Event! (you should join us! Next one is June 19th 8PM (CST) sign up at Laura’s Stampin’ Up site!)
I make a power point of hints that we all go through via Zoom! I will send out an email with the suggested sizes and items to have on hand. You use what you have on hand and it’s ok that it’s retired or not SU! So it’s a FREE event! Local or out of town! Great for those that don’t feel ready to venture out too! We can even do a party for you and your friends!
Ok, now for the card. This was another Mini-Z Fold card and I love how it turned out! It was super simple to make.
To create this Half Z Fold:
9”x 5 ½ ” card base of your color choice. Score at 1 7/8″ and at 4 7/8″
2 designs of coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) or patterned paper: Main Focal pattern: 2 ¾ ” X 5 ¼” & another with that same pattern 1 ¼ “ x 5 ¼ “; another pattern cut to 1 ½” x 5 ¼”
•2 5/8” x 5-1/4” Whisper White for inside the card.
Adhere your matching 2 DSP pieces to the card base to the front part of the card and the smaller on the right-hand side. –Adhere the Whisper White next to that flush with the 5 ½ side. –Add the last piece of DSP to the small fold.
The base card measurements appear strange, but this fits perfectly in an A2 envelope! I just stamped the daisy from the Ornate Garden stamp set with Memento Black. Next, I cut it out with a larger oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I used the Smoky Slate light blends marker to give some depth to the flower petals. I also used Wink of Stella to make some sparkle! I finished it off with a simple sentiment and a Linen Thread Bow!
