It’s a blustery cold day here in Texas! We had freezing rain & sleet most of the night with about an inch of snow today! This does not happen often and the kids are thrilled to be out sledding and having snowball fights! (No school either) It’s amazing the whole city shuts down-but let’s face it-Texan’s do NOT know how to drive on ice!

The concept artists’ at Stampin’ Up! just amaze me with their talents and knowledge of what colors will pair well with one another! I am almost embarrassed to say I have 3 sets and 3 packs of this paper now! I am such a DSP hoarder!
Ok-on to the sweet card that is sure to brighten anyone’s day! I chose the IN Color Fresh Fresia (4″x 5 1/4) from this Friendly Hello DSP and paired it with a Basic Black card base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ folded in half). I ran the Fresh Fresia piece through the Stamp Cut and Embossing machine with the Tasteful Textiles 3-D folder to add some texture.
I cut a 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Fresh Fresia floral page from the DSP pack and glued that down on top of the dry embossed Fresh Fresia. On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sweet little bird on the floral branch with Black Memento. To add a little shading, I added some Fresh Fresia Ink on my Blender Pen and followed up with Wink of Stella Clear. I used the Layering Circles to cut it out along with the Fresh Fresia scalloped mat circle.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and I sprinkled White Embossing powder on top. After using the heat tool, I glued it down before I adhered the main image. A few Iridescent Basic Jewels placed on the card finishes it off!
