Snowflakes are so peaceful and calming to me! My favorite time to see snow (which is rare here in Texas) is getting up just a dawn after a night of snow. I open the door and gaze out at the blanketed landscape and hear nothing but quiet! Not to mention the untouched snow before the animals and kids come out to play!
This card was made for my first Stamp a Stack of cards last month. I saw a wonderful card on Pinterest and put my own spin on it by changing the colors and other elements. I often use other people’s cards as my inspiration for each project. The best part of this card is using the Contour Dies & Frosted Flurry dies in one pass in the Stamp, Cut, and Embossing Machine! (SCEM)
Do you want to make a few? Super easy! I used Balmy Blue for the card base & cut it to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (folded it & creased it). Use a few of your favorite stamps from the Joyful Flurry stamp set & ink them up with Balmy Blue. I always stamp on a piece of Grid Paper so when I stamp randomly, I can stamp off of the sides of my cardstock. This creates a more natural appearance to your background. Similar to a piece of patterned paper.
Next is the time saver part! Place a scalloped rectangle and a snowflake die on your machine. Be sure to line up the snowflake towards the upper part of the rectangle and run it through the SCEM. This will leave room for the sentiment at the bottom that is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Take Your Pick tool to lift up the sections of the snowflake that do not cut out all the way. I finished it up with a Basic Rhinestone Gem in the center. That’s it! Make multiples in a snap!
