I looked through the new July-December Mini Catalog a ton of times before I noticed this little gem! If you look at the top of page 53 in your Mini Catalog, you will see the Leaf Fall Folder! Once I saw it, I had to have it! Making this card immediately came to mind! I can feel the gentle fall air blowing these leaves off of the trees!!
Super simple to make too! First, I took a 5″x 3 3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla & ran it through the SCEM (Stamp, Cut, and Emboss Machine). Then, I pulled out my Blending Brushes and a few ink pads to create the soft colors on the leaves. I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, & Mossy Meadow Ink Pads. TIP: When using your Blending Brushes, practice the pressure on a scrap piece of paper. I lightly touched the embossed areas with the darker colors first and finished with the Crushed Curry. I did use the Blending Brush & Crushed Curry to give the whole Very Vanilla piece an essence of a glow.
If you know me, I didn’t stop with the Blending Brushes! I took the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend Light and tapped the brush end on my bone folder to create the splatters. And yes, I splattered some Wink of Stella! The sentiment was cut out using the dies from the Harvest Dies. I finished it off with the Rustic Metallic dots!
