I have to admit that the Holiday Catalog is always my favorite one of the catalogs! BUT I saw the Evergreen Elegance Bundle, I had to have it! It coordinates so well with the Tidings of Christmas suite! It’s funny that I am playing with this set after getting all the new Holiday sets in last week!.
I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class, so it needed to have simple elements that wowed! This card used 2 punches, a stamp set, some inks, and DSP! (Oh and ribbon)
The card base is an A2 card (5 1/2″x 8 1/2″) of Evening Evergreen. I used a sheet of the Tidings of Christmas 6×6 DSP for the background. Next, you will cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler to 3 1/4″x 5 1/2″ and a piece of Basic White 3″x 5 1/2″. The stamping was simple. I used all 3 sizes of the trees and stamped them full strength with Evening Evergreen, THEN I stamped again without inking! You can get more bang for your buck by not reinking your stamp! It gives you a nice lighter hue of your color! I used the Label Me Fancy punch for the Noel from the Tidings & Trimmings set. (I only used the Evening Evergreen ink for this card).
To add some shimmer and pop to the card, I punched some Gold Metallic Specialty paper out with the Evergreen Border! I glued that on top of the Gold Shimmer ribbon and that was it!
