We were on our Mother’s Day Craft retreat last weekend when I stumbled on this by accident! I will apologize now if this has been done before, but I haven’t been able to find one yet.
I wanted to use the Meadow dies make some watercolor flowers to put on a card. I ran it through with Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) and thought it was a little more difficult than normal. When I took out the watercolor paper, I then could tell it was 2 pieces. That is when it hit me what to do! I played around with other cardstocks with different thicknesses.
For this card, I used a piece of Crumb Cake (dry embossed with Tasteful Textiles) with a piece of Thick Basic White on top. Next, you will lay your die on top of the two and run it through. DON’T separate the two pieces afterwards!

Now you can color the top part (leaving the top Basic White complete) with makers, Stampin’ Blends, Blender Pens, or watercolor. The best part is that you don’t have to be neat about it! The magic happens when you pull off the Basic White piece to reveal the gorgeous raised creation!
To create the background, I stamped the words from the Quite Meadow with Crumb Cake on the Crumb Cake card base randomly. Next, I used the splatter stamp with Soft Suede and finished it with a few splatters of Wink of Stella. I cut out the sentiment using the Dual Oval punch.
Here is another card that I made using the same technique! I hope you enjoyed this fun technique!
