I can’t believe that Christmas is in days!! Wow! But I think we can all agree that 2020 can see it’s self out! It has been crazy busy in our house these past couple of weeks! And now it is cold (finally) in Texas-we may see a few stray snowflakes too! So this card was a perfect pick for today!
For today’s card, I used products from the Snowflake Splendor suite! One of the many reasons I love Stampin’ Up! is that they are on top of the latest trends in style, colors, and pattern combinations! The Snowflake Splendor DSP has a whimsical blend of blues and grays with a pop of purple to shake up this nontraditional color scheme. It makes for quick card making too! I just look at the back of the paper pack and the colors are listed right there for easy reference!
- I used Stampin’ Seal on a piece of the Snowflake Splendor DSP (4″ x 5 1/4″)and placed it top of the front of the Misty Moonlight card base. (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ folded in half).
- I then ran two from above through the SCEM with the label die from the So Many Snowflakes dies. I ran it through a second time to get it to cut all the way through both layers.
- Next, I cut out a piece of Vellum with the Nested Label a little bigger than the label die from step 2.
- Use Stampin’ Seal+ on the very edge of the Vellum label and adhere it to the inside of the card to cover the opening we just cut out.
- Cut several smaller sized snowflakes using Balmy Blue Glimmer paper, Silver Foil, & Misty Moonlight papers.
- Stamp the vellum with the sentiment of your choice with Night of Navy ink. Be sure to let it dry.
- Layer the snowflakes and embellish with the Iridescent Pearls.
- There is a piece of Whisper White inside the card and a bow made from the Crinkled Whisper White Ribbon.
It’s hard to see in this picture, but the recipient can place a flameless tealight under the card tented open. My girls at club loved this card last month!
