Who doesn’t like candy canes during the holidays?? I love adding one to my hot chocolate or crushed up on top of baked goodies! After such an odd ball year, I am looking forward to the holidays to decorate and send Christmas cards!
I saw the Sweetest Borders dies that comes in this Sweetest Time bundle and fell in love! I can’t believe I haven’t used the stamp set yet! (Which has tremendous potential on its own too). I remember pulling this out of my pre-order and taking a piece of Real Red and running it through with the die!
First you take a Real Red card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and crease with your Bone Folder. Next, take a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White and run it through the SCEM (Stamp, Cut, & Emboss Machine) with the Subtle 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder. It adds just enough visual interest and texture. Then take a 3″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Real Red and run it through with the Sweetest Borders die. To make the left side more seamless, I used a piece of Silver Foil run through the SCEM with the Tasteful Textiles 3D folder. It kind of reminds me of a Hershey’s Kiss wrapper!
The Silver Foil is then adhered down onto the Real Red and Whisper White to make the candy canes pop! I chose some Rhinestones and the 3/8″ Silver Edged Ribbon for a little extra bling! The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set (a must have!) and punched out with the Classic Label Punch! This was a fun and quick card to put together! Now to go use the Sweetest Time Stamp set!
