I am a Starbucks addict-and I mean to the point that I’m friends with my baristas on Facebook! So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the new Press On stamp set in the Holiday Catalog! To add to this adorable set, there is also the Heartwarming Hugs suite! This suite has mini coffee cups & carriers, sweet adornments, gorgeous DSP, 2 stamp sets, and coordinating dies! The Warm Wraps dies help you create a variety of coffee cup wraps! I have seen some cute cups and cards embellishments created with the Festive Felt Sheets that are in the Holiday Catalog! (Sorry, this is my favorite season and I get a little giddy seeing all bright shinny things!)
So to create this card, I used a layout in the Holiday catalog and changed up the paper, stamp set, and colors. It’s a great way to get out of a creator’s block! I used a Crumb Cake card base and then ran a 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Real Red through the Stamp-Cut-Emboss Machine with the Wrapped In Texture Embossing folders. The patterned paper is from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and is cut a to 3″ x 4 1/2″. I then cut a banner edge to create some visual interest.
I stamped the coffee cups on a 1 1/2″ x 4″ Whisper White piece with Memento Black and used my Blends to color in the cups. There is a Red Rhinestone in the center of the heart on the center cup. (Blends used: Real Red combo, Old Olive combo, and Crumb Cake combo) I stamped the sentiment from the Warm Hugs stamp set on a scrap of Crumb Cake and used the Classic Label punch to create the shape. I loved the stitching from the ribbon that is from the Playful Pets Trim combo.
