Who loves sunflowers?? They just make me smile and brightens my day! I have already made 3 projects using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle (154065) from the new Annual Catalog! I saw a few samples cruising Pinterest where people used their water color pencils to color the sunflower. This is what I came up with and I included the new Misty Moonlight In Color!
I used the Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, and Cajun Craze Watercolor Pencils to color the sunflower. Next, I followed it with a Blender Pen-but just lightly. I didn’t want too much blending. I liked the more crisp color changes in the petals. The strip of DSP is from the Flowers for Every Season 6×6 DSP pack. Then I stamped tone on tone with Misty Moonlight using the smaller sunflower stamp. The leaves are stamped with Just Jade and all the shapes were cut out using the Sunflowers Dies.
To finish off the card I tousled some Linen Thread behind the sunflower, used Wink of Stella on the center of the flower, and I added the sentiment.
