We booked our annual Mother’s Day Retreat back in January not knowing that the virus would be such a strain on everything. Our state allowed our retreat to re-open on May 1st and we were delighted to be the first to stay there since the lock down. I had not really had my hopes up that we would be able to go, to this was a very welcome break!
I love my child and I have always respected what teachers do and what they have to deal with (parents/students), but this e-learning has taught me that being a school teacher was never in the cards for me! (five days left, five days left).
I made this card for our monthly (now virtual) stamp club. I wanted it to be a little easier than the cards we do in person. I type up a PDF and a video of the technique so they can follow along on how to recreate the technique. It’s worked well this past two months. I wanted some summery fun colors, so I chose Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green for my colors. I then ran a piece of Whisper White through the die cutting machine with the Lace dies.
Next, I used the Medium Daisy and Daisy punches to make the flowers pop! The larger daisies are cut out with one Whisper White and on Vellum Card. The smaller ones are punched out with Whisper White. To give the Granny Apple Green some texture, I ran it through the die cutting machine with the Subtle 3-D folder. A quick sentiment and a Gold Faceted gem finishes of this cheerful card!
