A creative mind makes for a happy person these days! I posted to my FB page, Laura’s Creative Corner, a card sketch that I saw on Pinterest! I have had quite a few people post their creations already!
Here is the sketch! You should try it out!
I wanted this card to be super simple! So I started out with the Bird Ballad DSP and found two birds on the patterned paper that I admired. I then cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Circle (2nd to the largest) and then built the colors from the image. I finally settled on the Whisper White Base (thick card stock) and Soft Suede as the mat piece. I love the Calypso Coral page from the DSP that has the bird cages on it. That is what I chose to make my three panels. I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut them out so they had more texture.
I then stamped the sentiment from the coordinating Free as a Bird stamp set using Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake. Then I used the Classic Label punch to cut it out and pop up with Mini Dimensionals. (I used Dimensionals to pop up all of the layers except the Soft Suede) To create the leaves, I cut out 2 pieces of Old Olive using the Leaf punch. I used a sponge to distress some Old Olive on the edges to create more depth.
I am soooooo close to my goal! $122 and that’s it!
