I finally was able to play with some of my new goodies at our retreat a couple weeks ago! This card was one of the 3 projects our stamp club made! If features a new color, Soft Sea Foam, as well as Abstract Impressions stamp set! It makes the most beautiful floral cards! The DSP is from the new Garden Impressions 6×6 pack, which coordinates with the Metallic Ribbon Combo. The combo has the new Shaded Spruce color and Petal Pink that both have glimmer weaved in each.
Did you notice the stitching? It came from the new Stitched Labels Framelits!! There are so many fun shapes that include stitching that add that special texture to your creations!
I love the deep, rich color of the Shaded Spruce and Blueberry Bushel! The color on the pad case just doesn’t do it justice! The flowers were made with 3 colors: first was Blushing Bride, then Calypso Coral, and lastly, Melon Mambo. I did finish it off with some Wink of Stella!
June also marks the Creative Class To Go’s return!! I am almost done typing it up and it’s a great set of cards! It features the new Lily Pad Lake bundle! Look out for details on how to get your FREE card kit June 1st!
A special friend and customer requested an in home party! I haven’t done one in over a year! She wanted to show her friends a fun fold-so this is what I came up with! I fell in love with the Petal Garden Suite because of the beautiful rose stamp set, Graceful Garden, and the coordinating items!!
I first used a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock and scored at 4 1/2″ and 2 1/8″. Then I folded and scored them in a valley-mountain fashion. You have to get the Petal Garden DSP pack!! Just beautiful colors and patterns!! Next, I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder and the results are just elegant!
I used the Aqua Painter to color in the images to give it a soft colored look. I finished it off with a sentiment from Wood Words and the new Classic Label punch! And you know if used Wink of Stella Clear on my flower, right?
This was one of the techniques that came to mind when I first saw the Colorful Seasons bundle! Faux Linen was one of the very first cards I made over 9 years ago! I am surprised that it’s taken me this long to do that technique again! We made this card for our stamp club this month! Super simple!!
Use a neutral or light color card stock for your base. I used Soft Sky in this photo.
Take a piece of tissue that you use for gift wrapping. Stamp desired images on it. Then wad it up one to two times and flatten it out. I chose not to stamp on the tissue here.
Use your Tombo Multi Purpose glue and apply to the whole card base using a sponge piece. (I store mine in a baggie to keep it moist).
Gently use your fingers to lay your tissue down and smooth out most of the wrinkles. You want some. (Elmer’s glue works too, but it tears the tissue easily).
Let dry and attach to your card!
I was able to stamp the sentiment directly on it when it was dry. I also used the Fine Tip Glue pen to attach the branch. Then I used Glue Dots to adhere the flowers together. There is a whole piece and a detailed piece to make 3 different flowers.
I then used a blender pen with Berry Burst to color the centers. A pearl added the finishing touch!
Hope you enjoued this card as much as I did making it! LOVE cherry blossoms! You can order this and other items at my website! Remember to get your loyalty rewards too! Any order of $150 or more is eligible for host benefits!
I won the Oh, So Eclectic set at On Stage in April. I finally got to play with the set and the coordinating dies this week! I love the geometric shapes that one die cuts out! This card is for this month’s stamp club!
I first cut the flowers out with the two dies (one for the detail and the outline to cut it out) that nestle together nicely! (figured the nestle part out the 2nd time) Next, I used the matching ink color to stamp the watercolor image to match the flower cut outs. I did use Wink of Stella on the centers. Then I used the Lemon Lime Twist to add that pop of color!
I added some texture with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder! These are so great for vivid detail! I finished off the card with Silver Foil behind the geometric pattern and a sentiment.
