I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2007! I love to share techniques, creativity and fun with others! Scapbooking and stamping is my therapy and escape! I would love to teach you and your friends how fun, simple, and theraputic stamping can be! Contact me or subscribe to my blog to book your party today!
What a fun a crazy two weeks it has been! We loved visiting our family in upstate NY, but our travels home were challenging. Hubby woke up the morning of our flight and had severe back pain-shaking almost. I took him to the ER up there and it was a kidney stone. We got him some relief and got back a day later. He had another trip to our ER with 2 more! He has seen the specialist and had more scans….we think we are good!
I finally got to play with this gorgeous stamp set!!! I love vintage cards/creations, so this was on my first wish list! I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class and deceided to use it for club too!
The Woven Threads Trim is Devine! I used my Paper Snips to cut the bottom strings and pulled them off to create this fun fringe effect! I used Crumb Cake to stamp the verse in the background and Mossy Meadow for the leaves. I then stamped the scroll with Soft Suede. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the Woven Threads to the card and positioned it almost center the scroll. I distressed the Very Vanilla base and the sentiment with Crumb Cake. I used a die from the Perfect Parcel dies.

My creative mojo was definitely flowing when I made this card! When I looked at what I had in my basket after I was done, I realized that I had made one of those $100 cards! LOL!
I used 4 punches, 2 stamp sets, a die, linen thread, epoxy gem, and cardstock. Now, I had a great tip from a fellow demonstrator on how to build your “sandwich” with your die cutting machine to help cut out all those little dots on the lace!
You will need your die cutting machine, multipurpose platform (that has tabs), precision plate, 1 clear standard pad, wax paper, lint roller, and die brush.
Place one piece of wax paper onto the precision plate (which is on top of the multipurpose plate on tab 2).
Then place your paper on top of the wax paper at an angle.
Place a second sheet of wax paper on top of the paper.
Place your Stitched Lace die on top of the wax/paper at and angle. (this helps keep the die from warping)
Run it through the die cutting machine once for Whisper White and twice for other cardstock/thicker DSP)
Use a lint roller to remove the small pieces.
For the stubborn last few pieces, you can use the die brush to coax them out!
Works like a charm each time! My club girls have had no problems!!!

I thought I would share the cute pictures of one of my fur babies, Jasper! He decided it was time to help out!
I love watercolor and hydrangea flowers! The Beautiful Friendship stamp set is just gorgeous!! I love the color combination with this card-but I liked the “stamped off” images better than when I tried it with full strength ink.
I made this for my Sweet & Simple card class last month. Sometimes I have a hard time not adding more and more to a card! Occupational hazard! 🙂 I used the new Scripty 3-D Folder to make the Sahara Sand banner have some texture. I also used a Stampin’ Sponge (cut in 1/4 pieces) and some Sahara Sand ink to rub over the whole banner. It really made the script detail stand out!
My inspiration were from 2 cards that were in Stampin’ Up! publications. One was in the wonderful magazine we get quarterly, Stampin’ Success. (a perk of being a demonstrator) The other was in the catalog itself. I played with the colors until this combination made me smile! Seaside Spray, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Merry Merlot, and So Saffron was the winning combination!
The new Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets are an extra “wow” factor for this card! I also used the new Story Label Punch for a quick and easy sentiment! I finished the card with the Braided Trim bow!
Did you know that through the month of July you can earn a $5 coupon with EVERY $50 you spend?? You get to use the $5 coupons in August!
Plus-if you are an addict, like me, you can join for the discount! Stampin’ Up! has a promotion that they will add an additional $30 to the $125 in the starter kit! (just a $99 plus tax fee) You get to pick your items from any current offering in the catalog! Then, you get a $10 off coupon for August (um you would be able to pre-order from the Holiday Catalog!!!)
I saw Elizabeth Bennett’s beautiful card on our own Demonstrator Planning Place FB page and I had to make one like it! It was our technique for our monthly stamp club too! It’s a bit messy, but it’s so worth it!
You will need the following: Stampin’ Up! Water Color Paper; Ink Refills of your choice (I used Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and Night of Navy); Frost White Shimmer Paint, plastic wrap, paper towels, and a drop cloth/paper. (protection for your craft surface).
First you want to spritz your watercolor paper on both sides to prevent curling. I placed it on a paper towel that was folded up for more protection. Then, I dropped 2-3 of each color & the Frost White Shimmer paint onto the plastic wrap. Next, spritz it with water and place your watercolor paper/towel on top. Carefully flip it over and move the inks around until you like the mix. Let dry overnight and peel off the plastic wrap! They all turned out different and stunning! If you are in a hurry, you can pull up the wrap in a few minutes and heat set with the Heat Tool. But-it won’t have the crisp lines from the plastic wrap.
And now you can stock up on these goodies and earn $5 coupons for every $50 this month! You can use your $5 coupons in August!!! Shop by Clicking on Laura’s Stampin’ Up! Website
AND if you love having a discount on your craft supplies, then this is a great time to sign up too! You get an additional $30 of product to add to the normal $125! That’s $155 worth of any current product (plus business supplies-catalogs for your friends). And they are throwing in a $10 coupon to use in August (which is Holiday Catalog PRE ORDER!!)
And when you order for yourself as a demo, you still get host rewards @ $150 merchandise and the bonus coupons! That’s a lot of savings!
I am so happy to see vintage cards making a comeback! This is one style that really drew me into creating cards over 15 years ago! When the new catalog was unveiled at On Stage, I knew this would be first on my list! The Woven Heirlooms stamp set has some sincere statements and some distressed elements to compliment any card or project!
The whole Woven Threads suite is just gorgeous! AND you can order it with one code!!! The Woven Threads DSP has some beautiful patterns that are distressed! They paired some new In Colors into some unique combinations! I used a more monocromatic look for my card. The sentiment is stamped with Crumb Cake on to the paper with the vintage muslin looking design. (I tried to used Sahara Sand ink, but it was too faint). I taped it behind the frame I made from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders combo.
To create the flower, I stamped the flower from the Floral Essesnce stampe set in Rococo Rose onto the DSP that had the Rococo Rose distressed design. I used the coordinating Perrennial Flower punch and the Leaf Punch for a quick flower embellishment. I then used the new Rococo Rose Dark Blend to color in the gem.
The 1/2″ Rococo Rose Gathered ribbon looks soooooo pretty in person!! It really pops off of this card! I used a strip of SNAIL and then pressed a little down, then folded a little to the right, and pressed down again to create the rouching!
I hope you enjoyed this card-I know that the girls in my stamp club loved it!
When we were at On Stage in April, they gave all of us a pack for the Mosiac Mood Designer Series Paper. It is gorgeous! You could just get a few dies/punches, a stamp set with a lot of differnt sentiments, and you are set! I made this one for my Sweet & Simple class last month.
I have seen so many pretty cards where people have fussy cut the roses, humming birds, and patterns out and just added a sentiment. The Mosaic Moddre is the coordinating stampe set that has a willow tree in it that is so pretty!
I used the scalloped edge die from the retired Be Mine dies. And I love the Stitched Label dies! Just look at the elegant detail! You can make simple cards that will wow your friends!!
I stamped the sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set onto Mint Macaron. Next, I added some pearls to the front and some gold thread to the back. All done in less than 10 minutes!
Be sure to get your hands on the NEW products 24/7! Just shop my store and I will mail you a gift for purchases over $30!
I was so excited when I saw the Daisy Lane stamp set in the catalog! What a great addition to the Daisy Delight and Daisy Punch from last year’s catalog! AND there is a new Medium Daisy punch that is a little smaller to help you make even more detailed flowers!
I made this card for my Sweet & Simple class that I hold once a month. It is a popular class for people who are new stampers or for those that need a creative fix! I used the new Birch background stamp and stamped Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla. Next, I placed the Very Vanilla piece on top of the Rococo Rose card base (my favorite new IN-Color!) and stamped the stems with Pretty Peacock. This made the placement of the daisies much easier. I then stamped the daisies off-set onto the card base and the Very Vanilla.
As you can see, I learned the hard way. But it’s still a pretty card! To finish the card, I then stamped 2 more daisies on a scrap piece of paper and then punched them out. I jused a dimensionnal to place them on top of the one on the Very Vanilla. I then added some Wink of Stella Clear to the centers. The sentiment was stamped with Pretty Peacock and cut out with the new Timeless Label punch! I added some Pretty Peacock to a sponge and distressed the edges before adhering it with dimensionals.
I had my NEW Catlaog Launch & Customer Apprecition event last weekend! It was a hit! AND I reached my first career sales milestone!!! 100k! Here are a few items I made with the new IN Colors ! A set of cards using the A Little Lace stamp set and the In Color 6×6 card pack.
Stampin’ Up! has already placed the Daisy Lane stamp set as a top seller!!! I can see why! The Medium Daisy punch is on it’s way here-I can’t wait to create more with it!
Do you have a hard time creating masculine cards? I sometimes do, but I just got the Sailing Home Bundle on my pre-order last week! Then I saw a great layout with a card in the catalog. I just starting creating and this card was done in about 5 minutes! I love it when the crafting stars align!!
It’s so easy to make home décor, scrapbook pages, gift bags, tags, gift boxes, and of course, cards! The suite includes DSP that is just gorgeous! And there are these cute Sail Away trinkets, Baker’s Twine, Memories n More, a 3-D embossing folder, coordination dies, and the stunning stamp set! And you now can order the whole suite with one code!!
I made this card for my Annual New Catalog & Customer Appreciation event this past weekend! I am soooo excited we can all order from this amazing catalog! We had fun playing with new products, creating this card, snacking, shopping the “destash” items, and meeting new friends!
I am betting that the site will be slow after the catalog goes LIVE at 12:00pm (MT) tomorrow! Just keep trying! Need a catalog? Just ask!
Down here in the south, we have a lot of magnolia trees that are just gorgeous! So, when I saw the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in the new annual catalog, I had to have it! Can you tell I love it!? I have made a lot of projects with this suite!
The Magnolia Memory dies help you make stunning cards (and other creations) in a snap! I used the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends (light/dark) and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends (light/dark) to color the flower. I added a little Daffodil Delight in the center. I like to use the lighter shade of Blends first and then go back to create depth with the darker shade.
To create the movement on the sides of the cards, I used the border die in the coordinating Magnolia Memory dies. The DSP is just gorgeous! It is filled with floral images, classic textures, and great color combos! I used this classic and textured pattern and added both ribbons from the combo pack to accent the branch on the flower.
I took a few pictures of the magnolia trees in bloom around our neighborhood to show you too!
Stay tuned for more creations! I am gearing up for my annual new catalog open house and customer appreciation event! I love to spoil those who have helped me through the year!
Need a catalog? Can I answer questions for you? Just ask!
I finally jumped on the “floating frame” bandwagon this past weekend! This was a lot of fun to make and it yields 2 projects!
We went on our bi-annual craft retreat over Cinco de Mayo weekend….I feel so much better creating so many things!! I would not teach this for my club, but maybe a class that focuses on this technique solely! I really enjoyed putting these together!
First I chose to repeat the same flower for this frame. I stamped 12 flowers and used my Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers.
Next, I cut out the flowers using the Magnolia Memory dies.
Then I placed (don’t adhere them yet) the flowers on a piece of Whisper White cut to 4″x 5 1/4″.
Then use a piece of Press & Seal and place over where you have the flowers. Once you have it where you like the placement of the flowers, firmly press the Press & Seal around the blank spaces and over the flower pieces.
Carefully flip it over and trip the excess Press & Seal away to where it is now matching the 4″x 5 1/4″ base.
To create the frame; I used two of the Rectangle Stitched dies to yield about 1/2″ frame-cut out with a die cutting machine (just enough room for the Statement of Heart to fit in the center!)
Carefully pull back the Press & Seal and then adhere the flowers to the Whisper White base using dimensionals!
I then stamped the saying on a separate piece of Whisper White to place in the center and popped up the finished frame with dimensionals. I then matted it onto a Basic Black card base.
And look at the 2nd card I made for my stepmother for Mother’s Day! She loved it!
Only a few more days until the NEW Catalog goes live! I can’t wait to be able to order from the WHOLE catalog!
