My bestie and I just went on a craft retreat last weekend! It was so nice to have some creative time after such a busy holiday! We live in the crazy weather state-Texas! While at the retreat-we had severe weather (including tornadoes) and snow the next morning! Just crazy! But it inspired me to use this lovely Under My Umbrella Bundle!
I saw a card on Pinterest that inspire me to use the No Line Watercolor technique for the main image!i love the softness it created! To create this: use ink pads or markers to stamp the lined portion of your stamp on to paper. The. You will use a Blender pen and re-inker to color the insiders the image in the matching color. The results are stunning!
Next step is to stamp the umbrella on to the card stock color of your choice and punch it out. I added some extra bling with the new Champagne Basic Jewels! That needs to be a staple in our main catalog! Love these! Next, I added some rain drops in Pool Party on Pool Party cardstock. I cut out the stamped image and sentiment using the Stitched Nested labels. Of course I had to add Wink of Stella on the flowers!

I needed a couple of quick cards the other day and I had just opened the new Peaceful Poppies DSP pack! The colorful patterns made it so easy to add a sentiment and some dimension-then done!
I made one for a dear friend of mine that I wanted to cheer up. The other if was for my sister in law’s birthday. It’s January 4th, and it sneaks up on me every year! Birthdays around the holidays are hard. I try so hard to separate their birthday from the holiday.
To create some dimension, I ran a piece of Basic Black through the die cutting machine and then added some Silver Thread tousled behind it. I then punched out a small sentiment and adhered it with dimensionals. The finishing touch was a little Wink of Stella on the main flowers.
I stamped the poppy flower with Poppy Parade color on color for the card base. I cut the from the same sheet of DSP, but a little smaller. I framed it with a Basic Black mat that was run through with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. I finished it off with a sentiment and some Wink of Stella.

I am off to a craft retreat this weekend! I will have PLENTY to share when I am back next week! Hugs,
I swear it was just October! The holidays were crazy busy and my craft room was a disaster area! But, I am re-organized and re-energized! I am making some improvements to my blog and my events this year!
I finally was able to play with my pre-order goodies from the Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration catalog! The Music from the Heart stamp set was top on my wish list! I grew up playing the piano (not well, but I could do it) and I love all types of music! I have fond memories with songs and pieces from over the years! With Valentine’s Day fast approaching (yes, I know-crazy!), I wanted to create a card with a musical vibe!
First, I stamped the music notes and hearts onto a piece of Whisper White. I then cut a 5″x 3 3/4″ piece of the From My Heart DSP from the middle of the longer side to the midline of the piece of DSP. I created the folds by creasing them with my bone folder. I placed a Glue Dot under the flaps so they would stay down. Then I adhered that piece onto the stamped Whisper White piece to look like music was coming out of the opening. I used Basic Black as a mat on top of a Real Red card base.
Next, I stamped the piano on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes dies. I colored it with the Basic Black and Real Red dark blends. I adhered it with dimensionals and adorned it with Basic Rhinestones. Inside was stamped with the treble clef and a love sentiment. That way it can be used for more than a Valentine’s Day card!

When I first went through the Holiday Catalog, I saw the Holly Jolly bundle and thought it was cute. But it wasn’t on my top wish list. Man, why not??? The dies are super versatile! You can use the sleigh silhouette to create a peaceful card or add the die cut words to your cards/scrapbook pages for extra bling!
So, now I have a Snowfall Puff Paint obsession to go with my Wink of Stella one! (funny I didn’t use the Wink on this card!) But I have used it on wood ornaments, cards, tags, and now Santa!! I love how he turned out! I colored him in with Stampin’ Blends and then was able to cut him out in a snap! There is a die for that!! No fussy cutting!! To make it fun, I ran some Crumb Cake cardstock through the Die Cutting Machine with the Brick Wall 3-D folder. I then used a sponge loaded up with Crumb Cake to give it a distressed look.
I did a color on color background using the present stamp and Cherry Cobbler ink. A quick sentiment using the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

The Perfectly Plaid Bundle has been so useful this season! I have lost count of how many cards, tags, and gift décor I have made with it! This card was for the second Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards I had this month! (It’s my busy season-sorry I haven’t posted as much!)
I started off with a Crumb Cake card base and then a Shaded Spruce background. To create texture, I used the Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I used the Pine Tree punch to cut out 3 trees with the coordinating Wrapped In Plaid 6×6 paper. To create dimension, I used Dimensionals to make the trees pop up on the front of the card. TIP: To center your trees, I adhere the first one in the middle. Then I added a strip of Crumb Cake that I used for the sentiment.
The Pine Cones are accented with Wink of Stella to add some sparkle and I topped each tree with a Gold Metallic pearl. To finish the card, I added a small Linen Thread bow to the center tree. Such a versatile set!
Guess what is coming next week!!! Stampin’ Up! Online Extravaganza on November 20–22, 2019. Stay tuned for more details!
One of the projects for our monthly stamp club focuses on a technique. October I made this card with the Faux Metal Technique. I love how it turned out! The Come to Gather Suite is just gorgeous! I have made so many cards, décor items, and loose leaves with this bundle!
To create this card, I stamped the grain image with Pretty Peacock on a Pretty Peacock card base. Then I adhered the Come to Gather DSP after cutting the banner on one end. Next, I cut leaves using Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Terracotta Tile cardstock.
Now for the fun part! To make the faux metal, I punched a Very Vanilla Thick circle. Then I swiped Versamark ontop of the whole circle, sprinkled it with Silver Emossing Folder, and then heat set it. I reapeated the process 2 more times. But the last time I heat set the embossing powder, I had the stamp ready! While it is still hot, I pressed the stamp down firmly and pushed. I held it there for a few seconds and then pulled it up! The nice thing is if you don’t like the way it looks you can melt another layer and the messed up one will melt with it!
I accented the leaves with Wink of Stella clear and a small piece of the Come Together ribbon. I didn’t want my sentiment to take over, so I found a small one and used the Classic Label punch to cut it out.
The Brightly Gleaming Suite is just gorgeous! There are so many possiblitites using this suite to make cards, pages, framed art, and even ornaments for your tree! This card was made for our first of two Stamp a Stack of cards! It was so much fun to create and the results are so elegant!
I stamped the holly berry bunch randomly on the Pretty Peacock base using matching ink. Next, I used the Copper Delicata Metallic Ink to stamp the smaller ornaments and then punch them out with coordinating punch. Then, I used the bigger ornament punch to cut out an ornament with no fuss! I ran Copper Foil through the die cutting machine using the Hammered Metal 3-D folder. I adhered it to the base and then layered a piece of Very Vanilla to create a focal point for the ornaments. To make the ornaments seem more realistic, I cut out just the tops and adhered them to create the metal tops on the ornaments.
To create the Pretty Peacock bow, I used a Pretty Peacock Blends to color White Baker’s Twine. There is this elegant Classic Weave Ribbon that has copper “Merry Christmas” written on it. I cut a small piece and stabilized it on a Very Vanilla strip of paper.
I love how the card came out and how the colors just compliment one another!
This card was made for my first Stamp a Stack and it was a favorite with my girls! It was a fun and simple card to create and make! The Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree Punch are a must have this season! I have seen so many gorgeous cards, 3-d items, tags, and scrapbook pages using the duo!
For this card, I first stamp the Crumb Cake with the Birch background stamp (I did stamp off first to make it more subtle). Next, I stamped the fir tree with Shaded Spruce onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the Stitched Nested Labels. Then I tied a piece of the stunning Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8″ ribbon into a knot and adhered it below the tree.
I placed a piece of the Toile Tidings DSP onto the card base and then used Dimensionals to adhere the shape with the stamped tree on top of that. I added 2 Gold Foil sprigs that I cut from the Sprig Punch. The final touch was a Gold Metallic Pearl!
What is funny, is last year I looked at the Sprig punch and thought “I don’t need that”. I was sooooo wrong! I love that punch! I have seen cute wreaths made from several that are layered into a circle.
Stay tuned for a 24 hour sale tomorrow, Monday, October 21st!!!!
Remember my last post about my new obsession with Snow Accent Puff Paint? Well, here is a whimsical snowman car we made for the World Card Making Day yesterday! It was part of a Stamp a Stack of cards! So my amazing ladies made 108 total yesterday! Whew!
Here is a close up of the puff paint as snow balls! It’s just therapeutic to watch it pop up! The background has a quick watercolor wash of Costal Cabana to make the snowballs pop even more!
To make the color combination for this card, I just picked out the snowfall piece from the Let It Snow Specialty DSP. To give the snowman image more texture, I cut it out with the Stitched Shapes dies and added a Real Red Cotton Bow to anchor the image. The girls LOVED this card yesterday!
I haven fallen in LOVE with the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint! I have used it for snowballs, these cute cotton balls, and even popcorn! It is a true treat watching it puff up from the heat gun!
TIP: Use a liberal amount on your image; then gradually get closer to the wet puff paint. If you are too close at first, it will move around. Starting further away lets it set some as you move closer in. But, not too close, I have had mine yellow from getting too hot too! You can go back over it if needed to make it puffier. I didn’t put enough on the first project and I went back and added more. Worked like a charm!
To make this card, I stamped the milk can onto the Mercury Glass Acetate sheet with StazOn and fussy cut it out. I then stamped the foliage and the sentiment onto my Crumb Cake piece of card stock Next, I colored the images with the Stampin’ Blends and Wink of Stella Clear. I distressed the edges of the paper with the edge of my scissors and then followed that with a Early Espresso sponge. The base of the card was stamped with the Birch Background and Crumb Cake ink. I wanted it to be subtle so I stamped off onto my grid paper first, then the Whisper White Thick.
I finished the card off withsome Copper Trim. I am so ready for fall!
