Sorry it has been a while! The Christmas season was a little more hectic than I thought! Plus, me and a couple friends went on a craft retreat the first weekend of January! It was so nice to just create, laugh, eat (what I probably shouldn’t have), and watch RomComs!! Perfect for a tired mom!
But you want to know about this adorable card, right? I saw this set in the NEW Occasions Mini catalog and put it on my wish list. I admit that it wasn’t on the top of the list until I started seeing such cute ideas floating around the internet! So, it popped into my last order and here we go!
To make this card start with a Gray Granite card base (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″) folded in half and creased with your bone folder. Then you will take a piece Just Jade and run it through the Stamp, Cut, & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the Stitched Greenery die. This die is amazing! The texture reminds me of a quilted top or a cross stitch! It’s a must have! Adhere the Just Jade to the card base and then you can adhere the Brick DSP from the Bloom Where You are Planted DSP (1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″) to the Just Jade.
Next you start to build on the Scalloped Rectangle die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and Basic White. Stamp the taller cactus with Just Jade towards the upper right-hand side of the die cut piece. Follow that with Smoky Slate for the planter.
The Cactus Builder punch is a little different for me. I found it easier to punch the pieces out and stamp on them after. The stamps overlap the paper, so there is an even coverage. Once you punch the pieces out and stamp them, use dimensionals to pop them up. All that is left is a sentiment of your choice and a little Wink of Stella to the cactus flower!
