Dainty Christmas Wreath

I don’t know how I passed up this gem in the Holiday Catalog!! The Ornamental Envelopes bundle has some many options you can use! I have used this on at least 4 card designs and I am still coming up with great ideas! I haven’t really used the Envelope Dies that much! I will now that the holidays are coming up! Think of all the fun and ornate envelopes you can create with the dies!!

Take a peek at the dies and stamp set!

I love the lines that you can stamp on the front of your envelope to put your recipients address on for that extra touch! I have used the ornament bunch stamp set and dies to make a fun fold card for our monthly Mystery Zoom class.

I used the card sample in the top right of the picture as an inspiration for my card. I just loved the dainty size of the greenery! First, I took a piece of Mossy Meadow (4″ x 5 1/4″) and punched a 2″ circle out of it. I used this as the mat piece for this card as well to paper save. Next, I placed it where I wanted the wreath and it served as a guide to stamp the 2 greenery stamps and the berry stamp.

I started with the darkest ink color first so I could line up the other two stamps easily. I used Mossy Meadow for the thin greenery stamp using the circle as my guide. You can also arc the photopolymer stamp to a more circular shape as well. I did overlap the ends a bit. Then I used Old Olive ink for the thicker greenery stamp using the previous stamp as my guide. The last stamp was the berries which I used Real Red ink.

To help disguise the more sparse areas, I used the flower trio stamp twice with Real Red and cut out with the coordinating die. I used Mini Dimensionals to pop some up and some I used Glue Dots. To make the flowers pop, I then added the Red Rhinestones and a Real Red Braided Trim bow. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas! Very versatile for all your holiday cards!

Do you see the the specks?? I used the flicking technique with Wink of Stella. You take the brush tip and squeeze a little of the wink to the brush tip. Then, you take the brush and flick it towards your paper from the cap.

Farmhouse Wreath

I am definitely feeling the holiday spirit starting to sink in!  (now if the weather in Texas would just cooperate)  I just held the first of two Stamp a Stack of Christmas Cards this past weekend!  This was one of the fun cards that the girls made!

It’s so simple too!  Just run the Seasonal Wreath EF through the Big Shot.  Use a sponge dauber and some Old Olive ink and apply to your raised surface.  I used a slight circular motion with light to medium pressure.  Then I added berries with the journaling end of the Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Marker.  Did you notice that I colored the Tea Room Ribbon with the same marker!?  Cool huh?

It needed a little more texture, so I ran a piece of Crumb Cake through the Big Shot using the new Corrugated EF!  (I found the if the lines are horizontal with the embossing folder while running it through works best)

Next I took the sentiment from Hearts Come Home and stamped it with Black Memento ink.  This was a fun card to create and I know the girls loved it this weekend!
