Here is another card idea for the Abstract Impressions set! This set has yielded at least 4 cards already! I had to try out the Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape! I paired it to color the stems with Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. The results are stunning!
This card was made for my Annual New Catalog Open House/Customer Appreciation this past weekend. There were goodie bags for those who attended, lots of retired items for sale (I can post a list if you are interested), tons of samples using new products, and wonderful friendships celebrated! It was a great turn out! And a dear friend took the plunge and joined my team!
My 8 year old begged to make a card with us and I was thrilled with his results! I didn’t help him one bit! So proud!!
This was a big hit for my club members! We did this technique a couple weeks ago! It’s looks really complicated, but it is very easy to create.
Ink one side of the embossing folder with a light color ink (Crumb Cake used here).
Place Whisper White or Very Vanilla card stock inside the inked folder and run it through the Big Shot.
Sponge the medium of ink (Marina Mist used here) over the piece to bring out the details. Sponge the darker ink (Always Artichoke used here) to bring out more detail.
Leave some of the in-between areas a little lighter to vary the depth of the colors. Sponge on the darkest color ink (Early Espresso used here) to bring out the deep textures. Very lightly rub VersaMark™ Ink Pad over the top of the embossed design. Sprinkle on metallic embossing powder (Silver), then heat set with the heat tool.
I love how each card looks different when you do this! Be sure to share your creations with me!
I love this color combination when it comes to Christmas! It’s soft and it’s classic! It was a favorite at my stamp a stack of cards last weekend! I am offering a make up class for local people on November 29th from 2-5pm.
The Merry Moments Designer Series paper stack is a great value! I got all of my cards cut and had plenty left over for 30 swaps! Our group is going to On Stage this Saturday in Dallas! Can’t wait! It’s always a great way to get your creative mojo flowing again! Plus, we will have the Sale a Bration and Occasions catalogs in our hot little hands!!! Click the link below for supplies! I will post pictures this weekend of all the fun! Until then, happy crafting!!!
I recently went on a craft retreat weekend over Mother’s Day! I wanted to try a quick technique I saw at Leadership this year. I took a dauber and inked up the Dictionary Background stamp (now retired, sniff) randomly. I then place my cardstock on top of it and used my grid paper too smooth it on top. It give a selective area of ink an I love it! I then used my aqua painter to move the Calypso Coral around to color in the flower. I cut it out and popped it up on dimensional. Easy peasy card!
