Watercolor Smoosh

I saw Elizabeth Bennett’s  beautiful card on our own Demonstrator Planning Place FB page and I had to make one like it! It was our technique for our monthly stamp club too! It’s a bit messy, but it’s so worth it!

You will need the following: Stampin’ Up! Water Color Paper;  Ink Refills of your choice (I used Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and Night of Navy); Frost White Shimmer Paint, plastic wrap, paper towels, and a drop cloth/paper. (protection for your craft surface).

First you want to spritz your watercolor paper on both sides to prevent curling. I placed it on a paper towel that was folded up for more protection. Then, I dropped 2-3 of each color & the Frost White Shimmer paint onto the plastic wrap. Next, spritz it with water and place your watercolor paper/towel on top. Carefully flip it over and move the inks around until you like the mix. Let dry overnight and peel off the plastic wrap! They all turned out different and stunning! If you are in a hurry, you can pull up the wrap in a few minutes and heat set with the Heat Tool. But-it won’t have the crisp lines from the plastic wrap.
