I needed a quick card for a special person in our lives! My stepmother! She turns 70 today, but my father planned over a month ago for us all to surprise her with a nice dinner at III Forks! Her daughter, son-in-law, grandkids, sister, brother-in-law, cousins, Pete, and myself were all waiting in a private room. Some traveled from Austin, TX and the daughter with her family had just flown in from Boston that evening! It was a true surprise and she was just flabbergasted! She is special to me because she has such a giving heart. And after my last 5 months kicking breast cancer, I really couldn’t have done it with out her. It was like my mom from heaven was channeling through her. We are definitely a lot closer now!
The card was a color combo that I enjoy a lot! Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, and Sweet Sugarplum. I used the Number of Years stamp set and matching Framelits to complete the card. And what card wouldn’t be super special with out Wink of Stella Clear?
Here is her super yummy cake and a picture of me and my hubby! We can clean up nice once and a while! Plus, we had a date night! A very rare occurrence! We had the steak and lobster along with tons of appetizers that were just amazing!
