A bouquet for you!

Spring 2014 fun 031

I wanted to do something other than cards for club this month.  I used the Spiral Flower Originals Die and cut out 7 flowers.  I used 2 pieces of Primrose Petals Coredinations cardstock and sanded them BEFORE I cut them out.  I then used 2 regular pieces of Primrose Petals cardstock, and finally used 3 pieces of Very Vanilla.  I took some Primrose Petals ink and a sponge to add the light coloring on the Very Vanilla ones.

Once you have your spiral, you want to use your bone folder to lightly curl the spiral.  This breaks up the fibers and makes it easier to roll into a flower.  Then I started at the thinnest part of the spiral and started rolling until I reached the fattest part.  You will have a section left to put hot glue or glue dots on to hold your flower together.  I used hot glue.  I used varying tightness to make each flower look a little different.  It did take me a couple of tries to get the feel for them.  But now I am a flower making machine!!

I used the smallest scallop circle punch to glue floral wire and the flower together.  All put into a 2″ clay pot!  I put some shreds in for filler and a piece of Styrofoam too.

Sale a bration is almost over!!  Get your die now to start making your flowers!!
