I recently showed how to make this gorgeous daffodil card on a Facebook live. The video shows how many techniques you can create with the Soft Pastels Assortment! A super affordable product and with all the great creations you can make with these, it’s a great coloring tool for your stash!
For this card I used the Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and stamped the daffodil bunch with StazOn Black. I used this ink because the StazOn is an alcohol-based ink, and the water coloring will not bleed the lines of the stamped image.
To mix your colors: All you need is an Exacto knife and a small art cup/pallet to mix your colors. First you will lightly scrape off some of the pastel color into a small pallet. Next you can use your Water Painters to slowly drip water into the dry chalk and mix really well. Now you are ready to paint in your daffodils!!
I love that water coloring is so forgiving! Don’t worry if you get a little outside the lines! I used a Paper Lattice (retiring) and a piece of So Saffron behind it for the backdrop. It remined me of a trellis for a garden!
To finish off your card, just add a sentiment and a little Linen Thread-voila! The Last Chance list is selling out fast!
