I saw this amazing technique that features our Masking Paper a while back! I chose these colors because they remind me of Arizona sunsets and our July Stamp Club technique, and the girls LOVED it!! It is super easy to make too!!
First, take the biggest circle die cut that can fit proportionately onto the card front. I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies. I used the negative space of the Basic White Thick cardstock to make multiples of this card!
Next, I positioned the handmade circle stencil that I just made over my card front focal piece. Placed a piece of washi tape to the top and bottom of the handmade stencil. Now for the fun part!! Tear strips of Masking Paper to place at the top of the circle stencil opening. Then take a Small Blending Brush to apply your first ink color! Repeat this process by alternating 2-4 colors being sure to change your “rip” pattern to get the best result. When you remove your handmade circle stencil, be prepared to be amazed!!
I used the Perineal Lavendar dies for the sprigs with Moody Mauve & Lost Lagoon cardstock. It was mounted on a Basic Black mat and attached to a Moody Mauve card base. Some Iridescent Pearls, a double Linen Thread bow, and a sentiment finishes off this gorgeous card!
