The Wishes All Around bundle is so unique with its circular images and coordinating dies! My dear friend showed me a card that had all white and gold embossing powder on it-and inspiration struck!
I tried the melted Gold Embossing Powder on Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler using the same stamp. Once I pulled out the Joyful DSP-it came together in a snap! The Cherry Cobbler really makes the gold and the berry design pop! The ring of trees was also simple to create with the coordinating dies! The belly band was using the same Joyful DSP with the music notes! This was a winner for my girls at Stamp Club last month!
To make a Gatefold card, you will need to cut a piece of 8 1/2″x 11″ piece of cardstock. Lay your cardstock in your paper trimmer and cut at the 5 1/2″ mark. This will yield 2 cards. The fold is fairly easy to do. Lay your cardstock with the 8 1/2″ lengthwise and find the center (4 1/4″). I use the Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper since it includes rulers and grid squares to help with your crafting needs!
The first photo is lined up at the “0” at the top of the Grid Paper. The edges are at 4 1/4″ on each side of the “0”. To create the Gatefold, fold the right side and match it to the “0”. Repeat this for the left side too. I like to abut them up together instead of scoring. I find less margin of error for a seamless center.
There are 2 pieces Joyful DSP are 2 7/8″ x 5 1/4″. The belly band is a 1″x 9″ strip of the music DSP from the Joyful DSP. It is finished off with the Gold Embossed circle of trees! An easy fun fold that can make your recipient feel special!
