Cake Fancy is a stamp set that I thought was cute when it appeared in our Occasions Mini earlier this year. It was one of those sets that really started to creep higher on my wish list! Once I saw it in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog, I dropped it in my cart! There are so many adorable cards made with this set!!
I hold a Sweet & Simple class in-person and offer this as a FREE Card Kit with purchase online last month (offer for the kit has past) Here is how you can make your own!
It also features the Perennial Lavendar DSP that is on sale $10.62 now through August 31st, 2024! I love the checked patterned paper in this pack! It made the perfect backdrop for the cake design!
I used Moody Mauve for my card base cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and the mat for the cake image cut to 3 1/8″ square. The checker patterned paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP is cut to 4″x 5 1/4″ and adhered to the card base.
Next, stamp your cake pedestal with Basic Gray towards the bottom of a 3″ square piece of Basic White. You will build your cake base from the bottom upwards. I used the cake layer stamp with Pecan Pie for the layers. Then, I used Moody Mauve ink to stamp the frosting top and pipping on the side.

The stamped image was adhered to the Moody Mauve mat and added to the card base with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped on Crumb Cake with Pecan Pie and cut out with the Stylish Shapes banner die.

The cute little flower is made from the Petal Park Builder Punch! Mossy Meadow was used for the leaves and Petal Pink for the flower. I crumpled the flowers and curled the ends with my Bone Folder. I added Wink of Stella (duh), a pink sequin, and a double tied Linen Thread bow.
