When I saw the Spotlight on Nature in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog, I knew it was going to popular! I love the delicate images that add a touch of whimsy to your project!
My In Person Stamp Clubs have a monthly technique project that we make together. This month we made Faux Silk with these gorgeous images from the Spotlight on Nature. And it is so easy to make!!
You will stamp your image on to a light-colored piece of gift-wrapping tissue. Flip the tissue over to color to avoid smearing. Then use Petal Pink, Moody Mauve, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the images.
Next, apply Mod Podge onto a piece of 4″ x 4″ square of Basic White paper and let it dry. While it is drying, run a 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Moody Mauve card stock through using the Distressed Tile 3D Folder. Adhere a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the side of your Petal Pink card base. There is a strip of Blackberry Bliss cut to 1/2″x 5 1/2″ to place on top of the DSP. Cut the now dry image using a circle die from the Spotlight on Nature dies! These are just stunning with all the different textured borders!
The butterfly was stamped using Basic Gray and colored with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. And of course, there is Wink of Stella on it! A few Adhesive Backed Sequins are all that is left to finish this gorgeous card!
